This is the second consecutive hit of Manoj Kumar-Hema malini after theri Sanyasi in 1975. The popularity of their pairing prompted Manoj to cast Hema malini in his magnum opus Kranti which was also a roaring hit.
Later Manoj Kumar and Hema Malini appeared together in Santosh & Deshwasi. Hema Malini W also in the cast of Clerk. But she could not do the movie as the delivery of her second child was due. She had to leave some movies. Then Rekha did the role.

Dus Numbri was directed by Manoj Kumar unofficially. After this movie Manoj Kumar stopped acting in outside productions.
This was Hema malini's 4th straight hit of the year and 2nd consecutive blockbuster with Manoj Kumar after Sanyasi 1975. Her other hits were "Aap Beti" opposite Shashi Kapoor and Charas, Maa; opposite none other than Dharmendra.
