The movie is based on a fictitious comic book created by the director called FULL CLIP - The Tales of Joshua Pope.
While filming the movie, Busta Rhymes made the entire crew call him "Duster Rhymes" due to the large maroon duster jacket his character is seen wearing throughout the movie.
Aloe Blacc was originally to be Narrated and Replaced by Wyclef Jean.
Nine years after the release of this movie, Busta Rhymes was arrested for allegedly throwing a protein drink at a gym employee.
