On April 11, 1980, a crime drama TV pilot called "Alex and the Doberman Gang" hit the screens. This ambitious, action-packed series introduced us to Alexander "Alex" Parker, a struggling private investigator who inherited five clever Dobermann Pinschers: Duke, Rocky, Harlow, Little Bogie, and Gable. But what started as a challenging coexistence would turn into a heart-warming tale of unexpected bonds and thrilling crime-solving. The idea was for the intelligent and faithful dogs to become Alex's trusted companions and assist the sympathetic detective in solving complex cases. Unfortunately, the network didn't pick up the show.
