Jeff Hardy, Hulk Hogan (as both himself and Mr. America), and The Ultimate Warrior were all planned to appear in the game. However, Jeff and Hogan were removed after they left the WWE, and Warrior was omitted due to a legal dispute with the company.
The WWE Legends appearing in the game include "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, George "The Animal" Steele, "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Hillbilly Jim, Sgt. Slaughter, Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, & Classic Undertaker. They enter the arena on the ring carts from WrestleManias 3 & 6 although Slaughter, Undertaker, and the Road Warriors have never been in a ring cart. They also have no entrance music
