Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (2003)

Trivia

Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour

Edit
The first game to feature Mario and Diddy Kong together. Diddy Kong was originally owned by Rare, who produced the Donkey Kong Country (1994) series. In those games, the Rare logo is visible on Diddy Kong's cap. Nintendo bought the rights to the character, and he appeared in this game. The Rare logo is now a Nintendo logo.
The game has two different versions of Bowser Jr. unlockable - his normal form and Shadow Mario (Shadow Mario is Bowser Jr. from Super Mario Sunshine (2002), in a Mario disguise.) Reissued as a "greatest hits" title.
If you play at Peach's Castle and your golf ball lands in a yellow flower bed, the 3 original types of Pikmin will fly out.
If the player doesn't hit the ball for a while, Boo will appear with helpful information and tips. If the player doesn't hit the ball for a while longer however, Boo will then taunt them with various messages, including: -"Why haven't you hit the ball yet?" -"Do you plan on hitting the ball....TODAY?" -"You're a slow player!" -"Hey, are you even there anymore?" -"Hey, you've got to hit the ball to play!" -"What!? You want to go the clubhouse?" -"I don't want to wait forever!" -"Hit it already!"
Petey Piranha, one of the bosses from Super Mario Sunshine (2002), is an unlockable character. That makes this one of the only Mario games in which he is playable, along with Mario Kart: Double Dash!! (2003), Mario Strikers Charged (2007) and Mario Super Sluggers (2008).
