Ghost Recon: Island Thunder, is perhaps one of my favorite games of all time, with the exception of Ghost Recon 2. Island Thunder was a must have for me when it came out. After beating the original, I instantly wanted more. This sequel provides a new campaign, some new maps, a different terrain, and the added bonus of some Desert Siege Maps. Personally, I'm not an island/jungle kind of guy, but I liked the Island Thunder maps. And the Desert Siege maps? Forget about it. The train depot map is exceptionally fun. Those who do not like this game most likely lack patience. I've played with some people who I know to be horrible at it, and it's because they run in, guns blazing, with no planning or strategy. That's what this game is all about, the strategy, and that's why it's more challenging than other first person shooters. I'd give this game a 10/10, but after Ghost Recon 2 came out, I'd change that rating to a 9.5/10 because I was wrong, they COULD improve upon this game. Everyone play it.
