As of 2018, this is the only motion capture film to feature an entirely original story and not be based on existing source material.
Chowders's line "DJ, you piss in bottles?" had to be re-dubbed "...you pee in bottles?" to help maintain a PG rating. You can still see Chowders's lips speak the original line.
