When John is explaining wormholes in the classroom the equation on the left chalkboard at the top right reads E = M.C. Hammer.
Between the end of the Farscape (1999) series and this miniseries production, the sound processing and makeup was changed to different companies. Hence, the different sound for Pilot and the makeup difficulties for Noranti, even though both characters are played by the same actors from the show. The character makeup was changed, and not for the better. Melissa Jaffer had to pull out after shooting only a few scenes, after a bad reaction to the new makeup. The attempt to film her part with a double (while she voiced the dialogue) was abandoned part-way through filming as the double was not very convincing. The character is almost completely absent for the final two-thirds of the 3-hour mini-series and even then you only catch glimpses of her from behind or the side.
Melissa Jaffer (Noranti) was to have had a larger part in the miniseries, but a bad reaction to the makeup forced her to drop out after only a few scenes. Most of her scenes were rewritten for other characters (most notably her officiating John and Aeryn's marriage went to Stark) and later glimpses of Noranti are actually a look-alike.
When Crichton is interrogated by the Eidolons and has to explain his predicament, he says he does it for the 89th time. This is a reference to Ben Browder's voice-over for the opening sequence of the 88 episodes of the Farscape (1999) series.
