Slow-building suspense/horror film Day Job is set to screen at Sf IndieFest's Another Hole in the Head Film Festival at the Roxie Theatre in San Francisco, on Friday, November 30th, at 11 pm. Interested? Then read on for the details!

Written and directed by Sf Bay Area artist, veteran cable repairman, and first-time filmmaker Dave O'Shea, Day Job is a uniquely intense horror film/character study about a lonely, substance-abusing cable man who becomes obsessed with an unhappily married young woman he meets while working in her home.

A difficult film to describe, Day Job is equal parts dark, character-driven drama, black comedy, suspenseful murder-mystery, and deeply depraved horror film rolled into one.. It simply must be experienced to be fully understood. After viewing it, you may never feel safe in your own home again.

O'Shea tells us, "It's strange, creepy, unapologetically mean-spirited, and seems to have quite an impact on the viewer.

When it comes to nutrition, Jillian Michaels seems to know what she is talking about. The celebrity trainer shared her favorite snacks that are both satisfying and nutritious. 

"These snacks are quick, easy, and they all taste good. Plus they're preservative-free, contains no trans-fats, Msg, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners," Michaels said. 

Michaels' snack suggestions include hummus with veggie sticks, a hard-boiled egg with a piece of fruit, barbecue or potato popchips, Ciao Bella sorbet, and 22 Days Protein Bars.

It’s lucky 13 for the Antimatter Film Festival in Victoria, BC. That is, their 13th annual fest is all set to run on Oct 8-16. That’s nine mind-blowing nights of experimental short films, live film performances and culture-shattering documentaries.

The fest kicks off on the 8th with a 16mm screening of Sergei Eisenstein’s classic silent film Battleship Potemkin that will be accompanied by a live soundtrack by DJ-son Bitter Herbs [Jason Flower]. The people’s revolution never sounded so funky! Then, the fest concludes on the 16th with the event “Uzos [Underwater Zombies from Outer Space]” and will feature performances by Ryan Beattie, Atomic Vaudeville, Slut Revolver, Wes Borg and more.

The 20th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival was a huge success! The Opening Night Gala was well-attended, and there were many A-list celebrities including Clint Eastwood, Anne Hathaway, etc.
