Pyschelic porn

Wow, this movie is something else. For quite a while I thought I had dropped some acid. Flesh Circus contains 4 and a half standard hardcore sex scenes surrounded by some of the most bizarre montages of video clips, animations, claymations, and light and camera effects I have recently seen. Sometimes this was quite disturbing, and other times it was amusing.

The plot of Flesh Circus did not seem as apparent as the plot outline led me to believe. The circus theme was interesting, and the introduction of the different hardcore segments as "acts" was novel. Unfortunately all the sex scenes devolved into the typical porno sequence of events. It would have been nice to see the same amount of imagination put into the action as was put into the rest of the movie.

So when it comes down to it, I am not sure what to make of this film. If it was soft core instead of hardcore it would have been a 9 out of 10 possibly, and a definite must see on a night of altered states. Or if the standard hardcore scenes were more original, more fetish or more symbolic of the stages of life the represented it would be OK as well. As it is - it is just confusing.
