South Korea’s Hive Filmworks has boarded international sales rights on two upcoming titles led by romance drama Adagio, directed by Yoon Seok-Ho, known for seminal Korean Wave drama series including Winter Sonata and Autumn In My Heart.

South Korean Star Yong-ha Found Dead
South Korean actor/singer Park Yong-ha has been found dead at his home in the country's capital, Seoul.
The star's body was discovered by his mother on Wednesday. Local reports claim Yong-Ha hanged himself with an electrical cord.
The 32 year old shot to fame in hit 2002 TV series Winter Sonata and went on to release several albums as a solo singer.
He was due to begin work on a remake of 1996 movie Comrades, Almost a Love Story in July.

'Scandal' pops for Soda
LONDON -- U.K. independent distributor Soda Pictures said Thursday that it has snapped up British and Irish rights to E.J. Yong's Untold Scandal. An adaptation of the French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses, the movie is set in 17th-century Korea and stars Bae Yong-jun (Winter Sonata). It is the third feature for E.J. Yong after An Affair and Asako but is his first to obtain U.K. distribution. Soda Pictures managing director Eve Gabereau said she had been negotiating the deal with Korean sales company CJ Entertainment since the Berlin International Film Festival in February. Soda Pictures said it plans to release the film early next year. No further details were available.
