While filming the climatic scene in the barn when the creature chases Bret (Kevin L. Powers), director Ron McLellen, suited up as the Jack O'Lantern monster, jumped off a haystack, landed on the camera, and knocked himself unconscious briefly.
The Jack O'Lantern creature was played by various people. Mostly by director Ron McLellen, but also by Brooks Ross and Barry Norman.
