Compulsion

Bud Lee, going with his perhaps real name Cameron Bennett, directed this forgotten but well-worth resurrecting Adult feature, dealing with various sexual compulsions or fetishes.

It's yet another, out of many dozens, example of how underrated Lee is as a filmmaker. This is effortless, quality direction, making for an entertaining, unpretentious Adult feature, something many of his "award-winning" peers were incapable of producing. And the absence of any superstars or big-deal contract girls in the cast is a definite plus, giving the show freshness 15 years after it was shot.

Brittaney Starr plays a therapist, who listens patiently to folks telling of their particular sexual obsessions, and rewarding some of them with sex, she being quite horny. (This unprofessional behavior is neatly explained at fadeout in a quite satisfying ending.)

Among the subjects, Joel Lawrence plays a foot-fetishist, Dale DaBone is into big breasts (top-heavy Victoria Givens plays his fantasy playmate), Sergio is into stockings -with fine fetish action provided by Jackie Moore with a money shot on her high-tops, and Oriental actress discovery Rose has a thing for big dicks, picking up a very young Mr. Pete in a bar and finding out he's more than adequate.

The pleasant nature of this porn content is quite different from the gonzo approach so prevalent then as now. I have always suspected that Lee was capable of making mainstream films, but fortunately for Adult connoisseurs he spent a couple of decades creating rewarding XXX shows. All five ladies on view do a fine job, none of them falling into the overexposed category most porn actresses of note end up in.
