Final Destination 6 is aiming for a 2025 theatrical release (IMAX screens included) – and next year we might also get a new movie from original Final Destination screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick, as Deadline reports that Reddick is teaming up with Convoke Media, Vast Entertainment, DreamPunk Entertainment, and Emmy-winning director Lane Shefter Bishop (The Venice Murders) to get a film called Bloody Mary: Origins into production.
Based on the novel Mary: The Summoning by Hillary Monahan, Bloody Mary: Origins was scripted by Reddick and John Stancari – who, sadly, passed away in 2018 after a long battle with cancer. This is Stancari’s first produced film and will be dedicated to his memory. The story follows a group of teenage girls who discover an ancient spell that conjures the real Bloody Mary. When the terrifying entity pulls one of the girls through the mirror, she becomes trapped in the past, living out the real Mary Worth’s last days.

The “Gaga Chromatica Ball” setlist has it all.
More than a decade after “Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour,” Gaga is finally back with another professionally recorded concert: “Gaga Chromatica Ball.” The pop icon recorded a 2022 performance in front of a sold-out crowd at Los Angeles’ Dodgert Stadium during her “Chromatica Ball” tour, and now, it’s finally streaming on Max for all to see.
The setlist ranges from her catchiest club anthems like “Bad Romance” and “Poker Face” to acoustic piano renderings of “A Star Is Born” hits “Shallow” and “Always Remember Us This Way” and her most heartfelt songs, a la “Angel Down.” Of course, it’s all done with Gaga’s signature avant-garde glam and theatricality.
Check out all the songs in the “Gaga Chromatica Ball” setlist below.

A year ago, we heard that Jeffrey Reddick, whose horror credits include Final Destination, Final Destination 2, Tamara, Day of the Dead 2008, Dead Awake, and Don’t Look Back, was teaming up with fellow genre regulars Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Dave Sheridan (Victor Crowley) to produce the slasher New Fears Eve. That project is now making its way through post-production – and as we head into the holiday weekend, a poster for New Fears Eve has arrived online! You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

The first clip from Renny Harlin's "The Strangers" remake has just dropped at New York Comic Con, and it's a sufficiently nerve-rattling introduction to the new movie. The 2 minute and 26 second clip plays through a familiar scenario for fans of Bryan Bertino's chilling 2008 home invasion flick, with a few key changes. In the role previously occupied by Liv Tyler, we see "Riverdale" star Madelaine Petsch, who's as captivating as ever as she assesses the potential threat standing outside her door.
The scene from "The Strangers: Chapter 1" is a revamp of one of the most unsettling moments from the first movie, in which a woman who's alone in a cabin gets a visitor who keeps asking for someone named Tamara. We never meet Tamara in the movie, but the fact that this stranger won't stop banging on the door and asking about her again and again is creepy as hell.

High school is hell for people like Jenna Dewan’s put-upon character in the 2006 horror movie Tamara. The pathetic namesake doesn’t have any friends to call her own, and she spends most of her time daydreaming about her hunky teacher when she’s not playing with the dark arts. Now, Tamara thinks her life is finally starting to improve when her crush comes a-calling, but as things tend to go in these kinds of movies, the sudden attention isn’t real. No, someone is out to humiliate her. And like other wronged women in the horror genre, Tamara won’t rest until she gets her revenge.
Before Tamara Riley takes the stage as a violent vixen from beyond the grave, Dewan plays a smart yet frequently bullied girl at Hafton High School. The performance is convincing, quickly endearing her to viewers. Director Jeremy Haft’s movie then goes down...

Writer/director Jeffrey Reddick has a lot of form when it comes to supernatural horror. Not only did he create the long-running Final Destination franchise but he’s also behind the likes of underrated and under-seen supernatural slasher Tamara, Dead Awake and the more recent The Final Wish. All films that play with the idea of the dead returning for revenge on the living in one form or another. And Don’t Look Back is no different.
Don’t Look Back tells the story of Caitlin Kramer, a young woman trying to overcome her traumatic past who, whilst walking through the park one day, sees a man brutally assaulted. However no one intervenes to stop the attack. Instead they all start...

New Delhi, Nov 8 (Ians) The Delhi High Court will hear on Monday a petition filed by four Bollywood associations and 34 producers to seek a restraint on Republic TV and Times Now channels from making or publishing what they dubbed as "irresponsible, derogatory and defamatory" remarks against Hindi film industry and its members.
The matter is listed before the court of Justice Rajiv Shakhdar.
The plea had also sought to restrain the news channels from conducting "media trials" of Bollywood personalities and interfering with their right to privacy.
The petitioners also urged the court that the defendants abide by the Programme Code under the Cable Television Networks Rules, 1994, and to withdraw, recall and take down all defamatory content published by them against Bollywood.
This comes in the wake of alleged use of words and expressions like "dirt", "filth", "scum" and "druggies", "it is Bollywood where the dirt needs to be cleaned...

There are few surefire successes in television. It just so happens that with its new releases for May 2020, Hulu almost certainly found itself one. May 8 sees the debut of all eight episodes of Solar Opposites, the latest sci-fi animated effort from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland. This is a brand new story featuring a family of aliens crashing to Earth and learning to live amongst the rest of us weirdos. But the animation style and sci-fi themes hew so closely to Rick and Morty that there’s no way this won’t be a hit.
On the off chance Solar Opposites doesn’t set the world ablaze, Hulu has some other intriguing content lottery tickets for May. The Great premieres on May 15 and is a comedic period piece about Catherine the Great starring Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. You can’t accuse Hulu of not taking big swings this month!

We told you back during the madness of the San Diego Comic-Con about Final Destination writer Jeffrey Reddick releasing a book based upon his 2005 movie Tamara, which starred the now everywhere Jenna Dewan. Today we have a trailer to share with you cats!
Reddick is revisiting this titular character along with author Jd Matthews for a special novelization. "The book is based off the original R-rated draft of Tamara that I sold to Lionsgate," Reddick tells us.
He adds, "This is my first book, and I’m really excited about the project. Writing is my passion, and I’m thrilled to team up with someone as talented as Jd. Tamara has a cult following, and I wanted to show fans the uncut version of the story. I also wanted to give people who’ve never seen the movie a chance to read the story of Tamara Riley."

Back in 2005 (Christ, where does the time go?) Final Destination writer Jeffrey Reddick created a little flick by the name of Tamara, which starred the now everywhere Jenna Dewan. In the vein of Carrie the flick featured a vengeful super-hot chick with a big axe. What's not to like?
Now, nearly a decade later Reddick is revisiting this titular character along with author Jd Matthews for a special novelization. "The book is based off the original R-rated draft of Tamara that I sold to Lionsgate," Reddick tells us.

Horror fans might already know the name Jenna Dewan-Tatum for her roles in The Grudge 2 and the cult hit Tamara, but they’re about to see a whole new side of the actress on October 17 when FX premieres American Horror Story: Asylum at 10 Pm Et. Playing one of “the lovers” alongside acting newbie Adam Levine, Dewan-Tatum brings her coy sexiness to one of TV’s most frightening shows and with Ryan Murphy at the helm, we can only imagine what we’re going to see.
FEARnet recently sat down with the actress to chat about American Horror Story, meeting Jessica Lange, and that creepy rubber suit.
Fearnet: A lot of this second season is kind of shrouded in mystery. We know a few basic things and the previews are super creepy, but can you tell me a little bit about your role?
Jdt: Well, not really, to be honest with you.

At the end of August we got the news that Julia Ormond would be starring as the matriarch in Lifetime's pilot "Witches of East End," and now we know who'll be playing one of her witchy daughters.
TVLine got the scoop that Jenna Dewan (aka Mrs. Channing Tatum; Tamara, "American Horror Story: Asylum") will play one of Ormond’s secretly supernatural daughters. Dewan’s character, Freya Beauchamp, is a sexy and fearless former wild child who settles down after becoming engaged to fiancé Dash Gardiner, a rich philanthropist. Though not initially aware that she and her sister are their family’s newest generation of witches, a series of events forces Ormond’s Joanna — also a witch — to tell her daughters the truth.
Maggie Friedman, who shepherded ABC’s witch-themed "Eastwick," wrote and will executive produce "Witches of East End" with Erwin Stoff for Fox 21 and 3 Arts.

The Devil’s favorite reject, Bill Moseley has been cast to play everyone’s favorite cult-leader Charles Manson in "Manson Girls," written and directed by Susanna Lo. Also starring Heather Matarazzo (Hostel: Part II), Michael Monks, Laura Harring (The Caller, One Missed Call, The Punisher), Patti D'Arbanville ("Rescue Me," "Nip/Tuck"), Estella Warren (Planet of the Apes, The Cooler), Monica Keena (Freddy vs Jason, Night of the Demons), Stella Maeve ("My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 2"), Eric Balfour (As the World Turns), Chad Faust (Descent, Nearing Grace, Tamara).Bill Moseley performance as Otis B. Driftwood in Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses & The Devils Rejects was spectacular, so it’s no surprise that he was chosen to portray Manson. Besides the obvious physical similarities between the two characters, they’re both crazier than shit house rats. Definitely looking forward to this one.Manson Girls is set to being filming this March in L.

As I drove up the winding mountain road to Big Bear, CA in the pitch-black night, I wondered, “What’s gay about the Big Bear Horror Film Festival?” Answer: just about everything.
What I didn’t realize before arriving was that a large homo contingent would be in attendance. In fact, there were so many gays in this tiny mountain village, to write “out gay ____” before each name I mention would be a chore. So I’m going to denote all the gay up in Big Bear with a “*”.
The Backstory: Several months ago Bbhf founder Michael Coulombe* pinged me via this blog with some very preliminary info on the fest. Sensing an opportunity to spread my super-important opinions around, I offered myself up as a judge for the festival. Realizing what a publicity juggernaut this blog can be, he immediately said, “Yes!” and I was on board.

Actor Denzel Washington has returned to 20th Century Fox's runaway train movie Unstoppable after earlier dropping out over a $4million pay cut, reports Variety. After discussions with director Tony Scott, he reached an agreement with the studio.
Filming is to begin in September on Battle: Los Angeles, about a platoon of Marines taking on an alien invasion. The only cast announced so far is Aaron Eckhart, although an extensive casting call went out last month. Jonathan Liebesman (who helmed the 2006 horror prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) will direct for Sony's Columbia Pictures from a script by Scott Silver and Christopher Bertolini, with a release date slated for 2010.
Paul W.S. Anderson is to return to the director's chair for Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth instalment in the franchise, says Production Weekly. Anderson wrote all the previous films, directed the first one and then produced the next two.

Producer Gale Anne Hurd, who seemingly has a love for comic book adaptations after having produced two version of The Hulk and The Punisher for the big screen, has now teamed up with Platinum Studios to bring Top Cow’s comic The Magdalena to your local multiplex. In case you’re not familiar, The Magdalena concerns a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene who is a soldier for a secret order of cardinals who fight evil in its many forms.
She has the ability to see into people’s hearts and give them a chance to redeem themselves. She also wields the Spear of Destiny, a spear that pierced Jesus’ side during the crucifiction, as a weapon against the forces of darkness. Versus, Midnight Meat Train and Godzilla: Final Wars director Ryuhei Kitamura has been tapped to take on the directing chores for the film.

Tobe Hooper ( The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ) may be revisiting the 1932 classic White Zombie , which starred Bela Lugosi. That's what sources have been telling me for the last month. The original, directed by Victor Halperin, tells of a botched attempt on a young man's behalf to lure a woman he desires away from her fiance. She dies and is resurrected as a "zombie." Garnett Weston penned the script. Upon revisiting the press notes for The Haunting in Connecticut , I discovered they state Steve Whitney is producing the update. His credits include Tamara and Borderland . More info as it comes!

One of the nice things about being a gay horror filmmaker is, after you hang around awhile, you realize you’re part of a nice little club. And eventually, it feels like you all know each other.
I first met Jeffrey Reddick at a cast and crew screening of one of my films. Paul (Hellbent) Etheredge-Ouzts brought his friend “Jeffrey” to the screening, and we chit-chatted a bit afterward. On the way home my brain added up all the stuff we talked about, and suddenly it clicked—Was that the writer of Final Destination?
Since then we’ve become friends and, in the grand tradition of Hollywood, mainly see each other at screenings and conventions. He’s a busy guy, and kinda sorta has that career that many of us indie flick filmmakers dream of—access to the people who make it happen, and big(ger) budgets.

When Tony asked me to moderate a panel on The Lair for at the Los Angeles Weekend of Horrors, I was thrilled. I participated in a bunch of panels at Gaylaxicon a couple years ago and had a ball because, let’s face it, I’m a bit of a ham. So the opportunity to be on a panel at a Fango con was an automatic, “Yes!”
As the date approached, I started to feel more and more nervous. I wondered if anyone would actually show up for this panel. I mean, The Lair is a fun show, but it’s on a Pay-Per-View network, and I would guess that ninety percent of its audience is more camp enthusiast than horror fanatic. Would there be any fans of The Lair actually attending the con? And more importantly, would there be any Glbt horror fans attending the con? Okay, yes, obviously...

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jenna Dewan and her boobs have nabbed the lead role in a motion picture adaptation of Top Cow's top heavy comic Magdalena. Dewan will star as Patience, a very attractive young woman who discovers she's the next in a line of female warriors descended from Mary Magdalene that fight the forces of evil.
I'll let the always reliable Wikipedia fill in the rest of the comic's concept:
After the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Mary Magdalene, reputed to be his wife, gave birth to a daughter, Sarah. From this child is descended the holy lineage of the Magdalena, a royal bloodline that passes great power and great honor from mother to daughter. The Magdelena serves as the warrior and protector of the Catholic Church.
