A crappy little movie about something that could have been really cool on paper. Very unprofessional movie-making craft, and I won't go into detail.
Nothing like Napoleon Dynamite which was a very good film in my opinion, I mean the fact the the director was second unit and had a small part, does not really qualify him as "from the people who brought you". Think Tank had a cool idea that went no-where. Too bad. Better luck some other time. Maybe better casting, some much required help with script ideas and dramatic crafting. No better than a film-school exercise.

I was intrigued by this at first when I found it at a thrift store. It had been donated by the local library. This is...not good. It feels like "Mystery Team" three years early, but all these actors in the main cast look like they're in their 30's or 40's and that doesn't play well into the plot of the movie as it seems completely unbelievable that these characters could remain this blissfully dumb and innocent for this long while everyone around them grows up. Like I said, it's like "Mystery Team," but "Mystery Team" is actually good. This movie is just...something else. It has its moments and some good lines, but the acting is bad, the story is bad, but hey, James Avery is in it and he's great!

We went to see this movie to support "decency in entertainment". About the best thing we can say is that there wasn't any swearing. The casting, acting, story line, composition, filming, and editing were terrible. One of the twenty-something guys looks more like fifty-something. I am surprised Pleasure Island AMC would agree to run it - even an "only one time event". My husband and I were the ONLY ones in the entire theater. Everyone in Orlando must be smarter than we are!
The opening credits look like an elementary school class project and the movie goes downhill from there. Quality was not a pursued issue. I have seen school plays directed with more professionalism.
I would feel better if the proceeds went to help underprivileged children or something. But then again, it only grossed $18 at the box office here at Disney: $3 more than the whole movie budget! Waste of time. Waste of money. Don't waste yours.

Well, what do you expect from a movie with a premise that has been done to death and always bad. The plot sounds like a high school student movie and there is no way that this type of movie can go any where. I watched it because I liked Napoleon Dynamite and this is done by the same group that did that movie. I thought to myself what is the worst that could've happened? Watch it for like 5 to 10 minutes and walk. I think the key is to go into this movie with no expectation. Don't expect it to be a good or bad movie and you will get the movie. This is the kind of movie that you either like or hate. It is not an acquired taste. It is your own personal taste and how you like the actors, the writing, and the treatment of the movie by the director and staff. Some people will think this is a complete waste of time and some will think this is a nice funny movie. I don't think this is Napoleon Dynamite and I am glad. I like that this is its own movie and I do enjoy the way it worked out. This is witty and full of odd ball characters to make it enjoyable. There are some pretty poor attempts to be funny; but overall, it is worth the time and money. Of course, this movie will probably go DVD very quickly. It is nice to be watched with a group of friends but not really something worth watching on a big screen, in the dark, and talk about after the movie is over. This is a good movie for rental and burn some mindless 90 minutes.
i'm sort of biased, because i'm in think tank......i have seen think tank twice and i truly believe that Brian and the guys did an extraordinary job.kudos! same producers of napoleon dynamite, but a MUCH better film...in every way. the idea that this group of genius geeks are developing and inventing 'frictionless' pool is hilarious...the acting is superb, especially 'lord billiard' who is the villain..the music is terrific(i should know, as i am a musician)..i anticipate audiences will start laughing at the outset and continue to the very last scene.watch for the opening and closing graphics as i believe that new horizons were reached with this artwork.don't miss it and tell about 10 people too! rich
