The live-action movie for Ya Boy Kongming! (Paripi Kōmei) just dropped a brand-new trailer and poster, revealing more of the cast and teasing an exciting lineup of songs. The film is set to hit theaters on April 25, 2025 and takes place at the ‘Music Battle Awards 2025,’ where Japan’s biggest music labels go head-to-head.
A key highlight is the song lineup. The main character Eiko, played by Moka Kamishiraishi, performs the insert song ‘Count on me,’ written by Shinya Ishihara from the band SaucyDog. Utaha from Wednesday’s Campanella plays Shin and sings ‘again and again,’ a song composed by Sōshi Sakiyama.

This is her first song for the live-action series in a year and a half since "Dreamer," an insert song for the TV drama in 2023. Ya Boy Kongming! Live-Action Movie Main Trailer "Count on me” was written and composed by Shinya Ishihara , vocalist of the three-piece rock band Saucy Dog . "The song 'Count on me,' which I newly wrote for the film, expresses the feeling of moving forward and moving with the music itself while putting Eiko's feelings first," said Ishihara. "The melody is easy for Eiko to sing and can be performed acapella. I created this song to give it an overall gorgeous feel.

“Right now, I’m on a small boat between Ustica and Palermo, listening to ‘Me and Bobby McGee,’ remembering Kris Kristofferson,” the filmmaker said in a statement to media. “Just like half of the world. The Dragon Quest series has always been popular in Japan and Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age managed to put the series on the map internationally with its critical consensus. Now, Square Enix is hard at work developing the next mainline entry, Dragon Quest Xii: The Flames of Fate . Square Enix is also working on a remake of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation . This remake is in the HD-2D style, similar to games like Octopath Traveler and the Live a Live remake. While this game is the third in the series, Dragon Quest III is chronologically the first in the original Dragon Quest trilogy. I was able to check out a one-hour demo of the Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake and it has the charm of an old school-rpg but with modern quality-of-life features. It’ll please veteran fans of the series but also appeal to new fans.

(L-r) Shirley MacLaine as Astrid and Peter Dinklage as Phil Loder, in American Dreamer. Courtesy of Vertical
In the comedy American Dreamer, Peter Dinklage plays a curmudgeonly college professor with a dream to buy a home far beyond his limited means, while Shirley MacLaine plays a wealthy retiree who has just such a fabulous home for sale for an unbelievable price – with one big catch. Loosely inspired – very loosely – by real events, the major delight of this sometimes crazy comedy is in the pairing of Dinklage and MacLaine, who make a perfect, and perfectly insane, comedy duo in this film.
Dinklage plays Dr. Phil Loder who teaches economics from a sociological view at a small college. Loder may teach economics but his own economics are pretty dismal for a professor of the dismal science. Underpaid and twice-divorced, he doesn’t have tenure, and he can’t even seem to get...

Kiefer is back with a new song, “Dreamer”. After several live band projects, the L.A. based artist has returned to his roots – playing keys and making beats. “Dreamer” arose from the optimism that Kiefer says is a pillar of his personality. He says: “I’m an optimist, an idealist, and someone who wishes for things that maybe cannot be.”
Since his debut LP Kickinit Alone, Kiefer Shackelford has become synonymous with a scene of artists whose music draws on and orbits around jazz without fitting neatly into a single genre. That scene includes some of Kiefer’s close collaborators Carrtoons and Theo Croker, while his signature piano playing and production have been sought after by stars from Drake to Anderson .Paak – with Kiefer winning a Grammy Award for his work with the latter.

Remnant 2's ending reveals the true identity of the Keeper, who is responsible for the unchanging Labyrinth. He tasks the player character and Clementine with gathering the pieces of the Index key. The final boss of Remnant 2 is Annihilation, a formidable opponent with fast and hard-hitting attacks. Players should rely on long-range weapons and stay in one place to defeat it. Despite their efforts, the player character and Clementine are unable to defeat Annihilation. Clementine absorbs the universe into herself using the Index, leading to a reset. The game's ending reflects its cyclical nature and leaves players with unanswered questions.

Deftly written and charmingly framed against a fairytale backdrop, Hawkgirl #1 promises a compelling journey into the mystery of DC's peculiar Nth metal, as well as a deeply personal exploration of what it means to be Kendra Saunders.
Jadzia Axelrod, Amancay Nahuelpan, Adriano Lucas, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou's Hawkgirl vol. 2 #1 expertly juggles multiple plotlines to set up its premise. First, the (defunct) Justice League's response to an invasion by the gaseous Helioans serves to introduce Kendra Saunder's Hawkgirl, as well as present the cynical warrior with her foil - the eager-yet-uncertain hero Galaxy. After the battle, some time is spent with Kendra out of costume as she struggles to maintain a civilian identity amidst her feelings of isolation and displacement. From the early hits of now young adult actors and actresses like Dakota Fanning and Jaden Smith to one of Will Smith’s emotional movies and the 2020 Best Picture Oscar winner “Parasite,” there are options for all sorts of audiences, even the superhero-loving ones.
“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” lands on the streamer after being released in theaters in March. The Max rebrand preceded Sydney Sweeney’s next project “Reality,” the television movie taken from an FBI transcript. A campy take on the story of Snow White is available to stream as well.

Wait a minute, you might be asking, isn’t HBO Max supposed to be “Max” now? How then, am I seeing a list of HBO Max new releases for May 2023? Well spotted, dear reader. Warner Bros. Discovery did indeed recently reveal that it would be rebranding its combined HBO Max and Discovery+ streaming service as just Max. As the company notes in its press release for May though, that change doesn’t take effect until May 23. What follows is a list of everything coming to HBO Max through May 22.
The biggest releases this month are two TV series that arrive at the beginning of May. White House Plumbers is a comedic take on the infamous Watergate scandal starring Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux. That will be followed by season 3 of The Other Two, which I personally consider the funniest show on television. Catch up now before it’s too late!

HBO Max will officially be replaced by Warner Bros. Discovery on May 23 with a new and improved service called Max. However, that doesn’t mean the service is scrimping on content until then. One of the biggest new releases of the month is the new limited series “White House Plumbers,” which will premiere on May 1. Starring Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt and Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy, the pair portray two real-life Watergate burglars and Nixon saboteurs who ended up destroying the very president they desperately wanted to serve.
Check out the “White House Plumbers” trailer:
The platform will head to the pitch on May 16 with a three-part soccer docuseries “Angel City.” The series goes behind the scenes with the groundbreaking Los Angeles-based professional women’s soccer team, Angel City Football Club. HBO Max will add several exciting new TV show premieres and movies to its catalog in May 2023 before being rebranded as “Max.” After launching in 2020 as the primary streaming home for Warner Bros – now Warner Bros. Discovery – titles, HBO Max is officially losing the first half of its name in a rebranding come May 23. After this point, the streaming service will be launched as Max, which will also come with some changes to subscription tiers. Nevertheless, HBO Max will still be releasing new hit titles between May 1 and 22 under the original brand, which includes the premiere of a highly anticipated HBO miniseries and the arrival of classic film franchises.
The biggest upcoming release on HBO Max in May 2023 is the series premiere of the satirical political drama miniseries White House Plumbers on May 1, which stars Woody Harrelson and Justin Theroux. The month also brings new episodes of Succession season 4 to HBO Max,...

Warning: The following contains Spoilers for The Flash season 9, episode 7, "Wildest Dreams."Despite the Arrowverse seemingly coming to a close, The Flash season 9 seems to be setting up a spinoff show for the superhero Dreamer. First introduced in Supergirl season 4 and played by Nicole Maines, Dreamer was the daughter of an alien immigrant to Earth from the planet Naltor and heir to a legacy of dream-related superpowers, including prophetic dreams and astral projection. She was also notable as the first transgender superhero in television history.
Dreamer became a constant companion to Kara Danvers, both as a crime fighter and in the newsroom at CatCo Worldwide Media, where they both worked as reporters. The character was popular, and there was talk of Dreamer's adventures continuing in a spinoff after Supergirl came to an end after six seasons. Warning: The following contains Spoilers for The Flash season 9, episode 7, "Wildest Dreams."The promise of a Justice League protecting Earth-Prime after Crisis On Infinite Earths was finally brought to fruition in The Flash season 9. The first hint of a Justice League forming in the Arrowverse came in the final scene of Crisis on Infinite Earths, as Martian Manhunter, Batwoman, White Canary, Supergirl, Black Lighting, Superman and The Flash gathered to dedicate a memorial to the fallen Green Arrow. This led The Flash to reveal that he had set aside the building where they built the memorial as a base of operations where they could "gather if anything ever happens again."

The following contains The Flash spoilers
The Flash Season 9 Episode 7
Although we’re well into The Flash’s final season, the show appears to be taking a breather before gearing up for its last run (pun absolutely intended) with a handful of what showrunner Eric Wallace likes to call “interludes,” quieter installments that tend to focus on smaller stories or highlight the show’s supporting characters. “Wildest Dreams” isn’t an hour that necessarily moves the plot of the season forward all that much—though it does touch once again on Iris’ emotional discomfort with the idea of her future being a set path that doesn’t allow her to make her own choices—but it’s a great example of the deft interconnectivity that has always been a hallmark of The CW’s Arrowverse.
With The Flash concluding with season 9 and the futures of shows like Superman & Lois uncertain,...

Germany is the only nation to have more than one show on the prestigious list (the other being Alex Eslam’s Souls), which also features Canada’s Audrey’s Back, Spain’s El Inmortal, Belgium’s 1985, Norway’s Afterglow, Israel’s The Lesson and Italy’s Bang Bang Baby. The latter, for Amazon Prime Video, is the only one from a global streaming service.

Barbara Gordon has officially found her roommate.
Ivory Aquino has been cast in the HBO Max feature film “Batgirl” as Alysia Yeoh, the best friend of the titular superhero, a.k.a. Barbara Gordon (Leslie Grace).

This Supergirl article contains spoilers for Season 6, Episode 6, “Prom Again!”
Supergirl Season 6 Episode 6
Brainy and Nia’s journey back in time to Midvale saw a marked improvement (and even more time travel!) in its second episode. Part Cat Grant-origin story, part sales pitch for a Dreamer (and Brainy?) spin-off, Olivia Nikkanen (young Alex) and Izabela Vidovic (young Kara) continue to wholly embody Chyler Leigh and Melissa Benoist to an eerily impressive level. For her part, Chyler Leigh herself made her directorial debut in an episode that was so good, Brainy even happy-cried.
This episode resolved two of the biggest issues that plagued the first half of the two-parter. The bounty-hunting aliens were barely on screen, even as they became a bigger plot engine than before. Instead of forcing us to have to look at and listen to them, their ship became scenery and they were something like living MacGuffins,...
