So, about those guys from Awards Pictures who were gonna do a sequel to Sam Raimi's Evil Dead but were promptly bitch-slapped back into their place... they're friggin' crazy. Read on for additional details concerning their failed film and more!

MovieHole got some details on what would have been the completely unauthorized sequel, Evil Dead IV: Consequences:

Wow, talk about something that doesn't need to happen. From 2005's Day of the Dead 2: Contagium and ending with 2008's Day of the Dead remake, you would think the studios would be done but this is Hollywood and if there is money to be made, money will be made on zombies backs...

According to Variety, producer James Dudelson of Taurus Entertainment, is working on yet another remake of Day of the Dead, this time in 3D. So the studio behind Creepshow 3 and Day of the Dead 2: Contagium gets another try to pay homage to George A. Rombero. We're not holding out breath. Stay tuned for more zombie in 3D news as we get it.

If there's one film company out there whom we take an extreme amount of issue with, it is James Glenn Dudelson and Ana Clavell's Taurus Entertainment. The reason is because the duo take properties they ended up owning through some minor miracle and then give them horrendous in-name-only sequels to fool fans into watching and possibly buying. They're back and ready to do more damage.

As if their laughable bad sequels Day of the Dead 2: Contagium) (review here) (btw, it's several years later and "Contagium" is still not a word) and Creepshow 3 (review here) were not enough of a piss poor insult, they're ready to screw with fans yet again.

Words escape me. Wait. No they don't. After the cinematic abortion known as Day of the Dead 2: Contagium (review here), I thought, nay, I prayed that the hacks over at Taurus "Entertainment"(!), James Glenn Dudelson, Ana Clavell and company, would have the common decency to leave poor Day of the Dead alone. Alas, they have yet more plans to cash in on that flick's good name -- enter Day of the Dead: Epidemic. Sigh.

Well, at the very least Epidemic is a word -- unlike Contagium. Maybe they finally got themselves a spell check! According to the official Taurus website Day of the Dead: Epidemic will be going the cinéma vérité route with pockets of survivors around the world broadcasting their stories. Obviously they couldn't figure out how to make this friggin' guaranteed mess any cheaper. Why not shoot it on VHS?
