No pun intended - and for once not the second world war in the background (however important you may deem it is as a ... backdrop that is) ... but the first one taking a peek from far away ... well maybe not too far.
And while that is looming, we do get a more personal, individual story, which engulfs a family as the title already suggests. For a (I assume and the other reviewer does so too) TV production, this is quite well done ... and the acting may be way better than you expect. Or are used to with movies like this. Even more so when it is German language movies.
Just be aware that pacing wise this may not be ... exactly fast ... and you are good to go. Well told story, even with the cliches and flaws that may come with it.
