This is perhaps one of the most inventive and funniest short films I've seen in some time. If you like your comedy full of ironic bluster and bitter flavor, this DVD will be your cup of tea. In 'A Day at the Office' we bear witness to the trials and tribulations of a nameless homeless man (Douglass Burks) as he scams, cons and schemes to make a buck panhandling on the streets of Dallas. A virtually dialog free experience, most all of film's humor comes from some fantastic visual set-ups and sense of social satire. This is some sly, clever stuff. And the payoffs are equally grand. Ditto for Mr. Burks' performance; he makes full use of a wonderful array of sardonic emotions... and all without saying more than a single word. This DVD was a marvelous entertainment and a stylish treat. Nicely satirical. And highly recommended.
