Boasting that sci-fi title, Marty Zion's exercise in post-Andrew Blake abstract porn misses the boat by not having any sci-fi content. The auteur is satisfied to merely stage XXX action on sets that look like the interior of a '50s space ship -clearly an underachiever.
This type of Adult Entertainment is seriously dated, as the work of Blake, Ninn and many others from approximately 20 years ago has little staying power thanks to its intentional abstractness. Any story film, even dating back to the Soft-core '60s, holds up as a mirror of its time and sometimes charmingly quaint. Yesterday's fake "avant-garde" is definitely derriere-garde in retrospect and almost laughable.
Fortunately Zion is not as pretentious as his peers (nor as famous) so this can be viewed in the usual "pretty girls having sex" that the great unwashed denizens of porno fandom seem to prefer, even moreso in this current gonzo-all-the-time era.
I especially enjoyed watching an enthusiastic Kimberly Kane in her formative phase before she discovered her own personal voice as an artist. This feature has no dialogue and Kane gets to hump Talon in the final segment. Also impressive is pale redhead Justine Joli, familiar from many a fetish video, in lesbian clinch with a fellow fetish model, the obscure Ander Page.
Big names in the cast, like Diamond Foxxx, Haley Paige, Mandy Bright and Brooke Banner, are better seen elsewhere in story cinema.
