The Sundance Institute has named 16 jurors for the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, as well as the group of five that deliberated on the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize.

Chadwick Boseman was a talented actor best known for playing T’Challa, the superhero Black Panther, in Marvel’s MCU. He first appeared as Black Panther in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ (2016) and later starred in the hugely popular ‘Black Panther’ (2018).

His performance as T’Challa was praised for bringing strength, dignity, and inspiration, especially as it showcased a powerful African superhero to the world. ‘Black Panther’ and by extension Boseman as T’Challa became important cultural heroes.

Boseman continued to play the role in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Sadly, he passed away in 2020 after battling colon cancer after 4 years of struggle, but his portrayal of Black Panther left a lasting legacy in film and culture.

The 2025 Sundance Film Festival has added two movies documentaries to its premiere section, The Alabama Solution and The Stringer.

The Alabama Solution is from directors and producers Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman and follows an incarcerated men who defies the odds to expose a cover-up in one of America’s deadliest prison systems. HBO will be releasing The Alabama Solution. Jarecki He made the Emmy-winning documentary series The Jinx for HBO, as well as Capturing the Friedmans which made its world premiere at Sundance in 2003 and went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the New York Film Critics Circle award, and was nominated for an Academy Award. Jarecki also had Just a Clown (2004) and The Jink in 2015 at the fest.

D.R.I.V.E. may be the last piece of the puzzle for truly dynamic WoW zones. Historically, WoW zones have been designed with a particular mode of transportation in mind. With both modes of travel finally having updated mechanics, now is the perfect time to begin a zone philosophy that could see more dynamic creations which could function perfectly well both in the air and on the ground.

"Star Trek" franchise creator Gene Roddenberry was a man of strict ideals and powerful ideas. That's a big part of why the franchise has had such staying power, as he created a universe with defined parameters for not only the onscreen elements of storytelling, but also the overall moral imperatives as well. Just as Roddenberry had specific rules for things like the design of spaceships within "Star Trek," he also had rules for the property's themes. This allowed for stories about exploration and all of the complications that come with it while ensuring that "Star Trek" remained explicitly a show about pacifism at its core.
