Writer/Director John E. Moyer grew up in Southern New Jersey and based many of the outsider experiences in the film on his own after moving to Utah.
Britani Bateman was actually pregnant during filming. The part, originally written for her, had to be rewritten to include her pregnancy in the film.
The entire film was shot in 18 days.
