Dimple Kapadia was taken by surprise when Bangalore-based film director Kavita Lankesh accused her of being the hand behind the plagiarized story. The director had narrated her script to Dimple several years ago and wanted to cast her opposite Amitabh Bachchan for the film. However, the film never materialized. But on viewing the promos of Pyaar Mein Twist, Kavita felt that it was a copy of her well known work Preeti, Prema, Pranaya starring Anant Nag and Bharati.
Dimple on the other hand sees no reason as to why she has been dragged into this twisted story. Scriptwriters and filmmakers hound her with readings and narrations so often, so Dimple just about remembers meeting Kavita years ago. She came across as intelligent and well-spoken Dimple reminisces, but her film never took off. And in Dimples mind it became history.
The story of Pyaar Mein Twist reached Dimple through Sahara One as an idea that Shailendra Singh had come up with and wanted to work on. As far as the film itself is concerned it seems to be far from any twists expect that of Rishi and Dimples love story. People are enjoying the movie, wowing Dimple and loving Chintu.
