After making its way out of Early Access on Steam earlier this year, Slipgate Ironworks’ Hexen-inspired Graven will be making the leap to consoles next week. Graven will arrive June 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.

In Graven, you take on the role of a priest of the Orthogonal order, who has been exiled unto death for a crime in defense of another. Fortunately, you live again in a small boat, adrift in a swamp. A stranger ferries you to solid ground and bestows upon you a cryptic warning, along with a mysterious staff and book. You must now take revenge on the twisted order, and along the way, alleviate suffering, uncover deceptions, and smash the eldritch perversions encroaching upon reality itself.

3D Realms unveiled a whack of new titles at their Realms Deep 2023 showcase over the weekend, as well as offering up updates for previously-announced games. That of course includes a whack of new trailers to ogle, so here’s a small rundown of the titles featured during the 4-hour show (which you can rewatch here). The showcase is also coinciding with the Realms Deep 2023 Steam sale for several 3D Realms titles, which is on now until October 3rd.

Slipgate Ironworks has dropped the second major Early Access update for Graven, which has now been out for just over a year. Graven is still expected to launch fully on PC on Steam, Gog, and the Epic Games Store, as well as the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and the Nintendo Switch in 2023.

The update fleshes out Graven’s first world hub, which sees players return to the plague-ridden town of Cruxfirth. You’ll be assisting the destitute townsfolk in new side quests, as well as delving into the Damned Estuary to finish off the hub. You’ll also now have at your disposal the Writ of Subjugation, an illicit scroll of primitive but effective magic, and the Ballista, a heavy crossbow capable of felling large targets at great distances.

In addition, Slipgate has also expanded the 4-player online co-op component to the Gog and Epic Game Store versions of Graven.

Indie veteran will continue to develop film projects through his Picture Perfect.

Indie sales veteran and former Lionsgate film co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger is getting into television, forming a Los Angeles-based joint venture with France’s Federation Entertainment to develop and produce premium TV series for the Us and international co-production.

Wachsberger will work on the joint venture, labeled Picture Perfect Federation and expected to focus mainly on English-language projects, with Ashley Stern, head of Us television for Paris-based Federation, best known as producer of French-language Netflix drama series Marseille.
