"Lapsuuteni" (My Childhood, Finland 1967) is certainly one of the best television film made in Finland in 1960's.
Film is based on the classic autobiographical novel of classic Finnish worker-author Teuvo Pakkala (1862-1925), published in 1885. Pakkala's home town was Oulu in Northern Finland.
Film tells a story of his poor family after the death of father.
First part of the film describes author as a boy (5-7 years), and second about his life when he is 7-9 years. Third part is about his last school years and fourth part concentrates on Finnish Civil War (1918), his father's death and the beginning of his career as an author.
Authors motto was simple: "The most important thing is to win hatred."
