Outkast have filed a new lawsuit seeking to uphold their right to the term “ATLiens. ” They claim an Edm duo is calling themselves ATLiens without permission and that the duo trademarked the name without their knowledge.

Early in the suit, Outkast uphold the fact that they originated the term “ATLiens,” the title of their second album. “The album’s title is a portmanteau of ‘Atl’ —an abbreviation for Atlanta, Georgia — and the word ‘aliens,'” the lawsuit explains for everyone who wasn’t into southern hip-hop in 1996. “The word ATLiens was invented by Outkast.

The ending to the Peacock original film, Shooting Stars, didn't have the clearest of conclusion as it left many questions unanswered. Based on the biography written by Buzz Bissinger, and produced by James himself, the sports biopic not only tells the story of LeBron James but his close-knit group of friends who played with him throughout his youth. Part biopic and part coming-of-age tale, Shooting Stars puts basketball in the spotlight while also telling a compelling story about growing up and growing apart. Like the best sports movies before it, Shooting Stars uses the game as a backdrop for something more compelling.

Shooting Stars was directed by prolific music video maven Chris Robinson who also directed films like 2006's Atl and the 2019 Netflix original Beats. As such, the film flows with a lyrical energy that mimics the rhythm of a basketball game, but it still finds time for personal moments as well.

Of the many mysteries present on Riverdale, the question of the Auteur's identity is one of the most gripping, and this arc makes up seasons 4 and 5 of the CW teen drama. The Auteur is referred to as the Voyeur at first and takes videotapes of the main characters' homes, which is nerve-wracking since no one is sure who is watching them. When the Auteur begins sharing videotapes that reenact some of the most brutal crimes in town, including Clifford Blossom (Barclay Hope) killing his son Jason (Trevor Stines), the fear escalates, particularly since whoever is in these strange movies wears grotesque masks of the main characters' faces.

"You People" is the latest comedy to take over Netflix. The movie - which features the star-studded cast of Jonah Hill, Lauren London, Eddie Murphy, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus - is about a young couple named Amira and Ezra who want to get married but are hoping to get their parents' approval first. Since they come from two very different backgrounds, that's easier said than done.

If you've already watched the film, you probably recognize London from movies like "Atl," "I Love You, Beth Cooper," "This Christmas," and, more recently, "Without Remorse." Her TV credits also include shows like "The Game," "Games People Play," and "True Story."

Outside of her acting career, London prefers to keep her personal life private, though she has been in a few public relationships over the years. Since entering the spotlight in the early 2000s, she's dated some famous musicians, with her most recent relationship being with the late Nipsey Hussle.

Exclusive: A group of young Atlanta tastemakers – from pop stars to influencers and entrepreneurs – are going under the microscope in a new docuseries for BET+.

The Paramount Global-owned streamer has ordered The Impact Atl from eOne and Quality Films, the film and television arm of Quality Control Music, the label behind artists including Lil Yachty and Migos.

The eight-part series will follow a group of young creatives who helped Atlanta become the ‘The New Influencer Capital of America’, according to the New York Times. These creatives are involved in business, music, beauty, and fashion, and viewers will get a peek inside their creative process, preparation and deal-making.

The young, Black, creative cast members have been chosen by Quality Control’s CEO Pierre ‘P’ Thomas and COO Kevin ‘Coach K’ Lee.

“Little” director Tina Gordon is reuniting with Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions for “Praise This,” a musical drama centered around the world of youth choirs.

Gordon will write and direct the movie, based on an original idea by Tim Story’s the Story Company. An earlier draft of the script was penned by Camilla Blackett, Jana Savage, Brandon Broussard and Hudson Obayuwana.

Plot details are scarce on the film, which will be produced by Packer and James Lopez under Packer’s eponymous production company, Will Packer Productions, along with Tim Story and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett for the Story Company.
