Pune, June 23: Burjor K. Karanjia, renowned film journalist and former chairman of National Films Development Corporation (Nfdc), popularly known as 'Bk', died here, a family friend said. He was 92.

Karanjia passed away late Friday evening. He is survived by two daughters and a son.

Born and bred in Quetta, now in Pakistan, the Karanjia family moved to India after partition. Karanjia qualified for the Indian Civil Service. Karanjia had named his south Mumbai residence as 'Quetta Bungalow', which stood a short distance away from the historic Jinnah House.

Karanjia's younger brother, Russy K. Karanjia, also a well-known journalist, had died five years ago.

Yesterday, we brought you a first look at The Hobbit’s handsome dwarves Fili and Kili, played by Dean O’Gorman (Farscape) and Aidan Turner (Being Human) and last week was a look at Dwarven brothers Nori, Ori and Dori, played by Jed Brophy (Lotr), Adam Brown (ChuckleVision), and Mark Hadlow (King Kong) respectively.

A new image that features three more dwarf characters, Bofur, Bombur and Bifur, of upcoming Peter Jackson-directed prequel to Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” has been unleashed.

Played by Stephen Hunter (Bombur,) James Nesbitt (Bofur) and William Kircher (Bifur), these three dwarves will aid Bilbo in his upcoming journey across the globe. Bofur is the cousin of Bifur and brother of Bombur

More dwarves on display tonight as the slow, but welcome, drip of images introducing the characters we will no doubt grow to love in Peter Jackson’s two film adaptation of The Hobbit continues.

Two of the youngest Dwarves, Fili and Kili have been born into the royal line of Durin and raised under the stern guardianship of their uncle, Thorin Oakensheild. Neither has ever travelled far, nor ever seen the fabled Dwarf City of Erebor. For both, the journey to the Lonely Mountain represents adventure and excitement.
