Bangaram(2006) MY rating: 2/5
Genre: action
Language: Telugu
Punch Line: Free make(copy) of previous movies
Theme: a journalist helping 2 lovers to success in seem faction
Story:
The film is all about a young man risking his life to bring the estranged lovers together.
Bangaram (Pawan Kalyan) is a journalist. His ambition in life is to join in BBC. His boss fires him, when he fails to bring the interview of a terrorist leader. Bangaram approaches the chairperson of the channel, Peddireddy (Mukeshi Rishi). By consequence of events, Bangaram is forced to spend some days with Peddireddy's family consisting of his two daughters
Sandhya (Meera Chopra) and Vindhya (Baby). Impressed with local faction leader Bhoomareddy's (Ashutosh Rana) style of functioning Peddireddy fixes his daughter Sandhya's marriage with Bhoomareddy's brother. The story then turns. Sandhya has a lover (Raja) with whom she is planning to get married soon. The rest of the film is how our hero Bangaram brings the two lovers together.
Technical Stuff
The much awaited "Bangaram" disappoints as far as the story is concerned. Certainly, it is not the sort the element fit for Pawan Kalyan. Romantic expressions, which form part and parcel of Pawan Kalyan films, is utterly lacking in this movie. Imagine a story where you don't have a heroine for the main hero!
Screenplay is mired with sporadic stunts and songs. The first half has some appeal while the second half goes totally out of control. Where is the story going?
Direction by Dharani disappoints. Coming to characterization, he relied much on the hero while sidelining the roles of others, thus, killing the entertainment factor.
The treatment of comedy track would give a feel that it is done just for comedy's sake, devoid of any interest.
The insertion of the thread where the villain gets ready to take 10-year old girl as wife to his brother comes as a vulgar development and throws a heavy and deliberate material to the audiences.
However, you have some respite through dialogs department, which again is run-off-the-mill kind.
Music by Vidyasagar is impressive in parts on the screen. The title song "Bangaram" is highlight, while two more numbers are good.
Stunts are overstretched and have led to the sidetracking the main story. This way, this wing too springs as a wanted projection. The factions drama in fact is not a necessity here.
FILM VERDICT:
This movie is opened with astonishing collections due to craze of pa-wan Karlan. Same thing happened to his previous flop movies Johnny, Gautama Sankara and Bale. No doubt anagram is another film like that.
the movie opened with flop and average talk all over the state. This movies competent Pokri and vibratory are much better than this movie. Pokiri will be this summer's biggest hit.
Pawan Karlan's image which is bringing huge openings to all his movies will surely going to decrease now. Bangaram is the 4th flop movie in the row for pa-wan Karlan.
Looks like he is going in Jr.Ntr's path.
Public talk:
Pawan Kalyan fans: Average and flop. Watchable for pa-wan fans for Pawan's acting.
Others:
Flop: A mediocre movie to watch with full length boring plot. Waste of money, time and mood.

I saw this movie yesterday and Movie overall is good. Some of the media websites reviewed it as a disastrous movie and Some of them said its not a let down and watchable for Pawan Kalyans action. I agree with latter as this movie completely elevates Pawan Kalyan as an action hero. I don't know how some reviewers judge the movies. As a common movie goer I liked this movie. I'm not saying its an excellent movie but overall its good. We see Pawan Kalyan in a Powerful role. Most of the movies are being reviewed by some websites based on previous movies etc. I think movies should not be reviewed until after a month so that Distributors get their money. Let the public decide the talk of the movies and not the media.
Banagaram would have been Excellent had it been given to VV Vinayak instead of Dharani

i'm sure anyone will continuously laugh in this movie while watching. Pawan has a great actor. the movie is not like heroism its a funny movie. only problem with action part there is great flavor in action. Pawan acted so well to create comedy. all comedy scenes in this movie are very fresh. Music is great. Pawan is not a good dancer don't expect good moves in dance from Pawan. highlight's: hero introduction scene, hotel scenes:with hotel manager, and with with dialogs with bad guys about heroin, about chicken with manager, when Pawan felt bad about his scorpion, bedroom scene with prostitute, bad guy romance.any one can watch this movie kids
