Lycanthropy, so it's a werewolf movie right? Wrong, so totally bafflingly wrong.
Starring David "Game of Thrones/Harry Potter/The Strain" Bradley this British horror is false advertising, to the degree that would be okay if the movie was watchable. Sadly it really badly isn't.
It tells the story of a brutal murder that leads a detective to an alternative nightclub with a dark secret. Nope, that secret still isn't lycans.
I'm not sure if this is Northern English or Scottish made but the accents are thick and the one accent I despise is the Scottish one which was immediatly a detriment.
Scary? No. Well made? No. Interesting? Still no.
Dull, lifeless and accomplishes nothing, David Bradley must have owed someone I favour.
The Good:
David Bradley
The Bad:
Awful audio balancing
Unlikeable protagonist
Simply not what you'd assume with a title like that
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
You can't trust psychotic cult members like you used to be able to
Werewolf movies with werewolves are so yesterday

Sorry guys! I was bored and just grabbed a movie from the video store. The short description looked okay, but boy was I on for a disappointment. This is probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen! I actually fell asleep during the movie that's how bad it was! I didn't even remember the title and had to google for at least 10 minutes on thropy just to find it back. I only remember one scene. That's where they have a dead body lying on a table and you can see the "corpse" breathing and you can see the veins throbbing! They could have used a dummy, and that would have made the scene better. What a load of nonsense and crap this movie is! If you really want to see a good movie, then don't get Lycanthropy. Maybe the producer can find him/herself another job.

Of all the werewolf movies I've reviewed in chronological order, this has got to be the weirdest of them yet. There's a police detective investigating the murder of a girl who was an only child who had unusual bite marks on her. The ones responsible have been taking drugs that supposedly turned them into werewolves but when they start opening their mouths, they don't have fangs! You also don't see hair grow on them! in fact, the detective explains to his superior that these people seem to have the attitude of thinking they're the title creatures which this boss doesn't believe in. To tell the truth, I'm not sure I completely believe it, either. Still, this was quite thrilling and atmospheric so on that note, I say give Lycanthropy a chance.
