Abhishek landed his vocals for the first time for the song Right Here Right Now.
When Dittu ('Reitesh Deshmukh') flees away with Roy's ('Abhishek Bacchan') car, in pursuit of Dittu, Roy gets in a cab having license plate "MH 01 C 9211". The same cab can be seen in the movie Taxi No. 9 2 11: Nau Do Gyarah (2006) which was released after 'Bluffmaster!'.
Originally, Sanjay Dutt was to play Roy, Abhishek Bachchan was to play Dittu and Aishwarya Rai was to play Simmi. However, due to time constraints Abhishek got the role of Roy, and Priyanka Chopra and Ritesh Deshmukh was brought in to play Simmi and Dittu. However, the film, in its credits, thanks both Dutt and Rai.
The movie playing in the cinema hall when Roy and Dittu are posing as income tax officers is director Rohan Sippy's first film Kuch Na Kaho.
Abhishek Bachchan already having a successful year with nationwide hits Bunty Aur Babli, Sarkar & Dus, received praise for his performance as Roy and Bluffmaster capped the year for him. His movies grossed the highest amount over any other bollywood actors and he was the most popular actor.
