Here's a rough and ready comedy starring Jimmy Adams which relies on speed and everyone being an idiot for its laughs. Jimmy varies between a bellboy, a farrier, and a fireman over ten minutes in which bad guys try to burn down the local hotel using those cartoon bombs which look like balls with wicks, and no one thinks anything odd about it.

Clearly there was and is a market for such things. I might be able to enjoy it if the gags were any better. However few of the Jimmy Adams comedies were interested in more than showing some gags with little or no connections between them.
