Remember when Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself for the Soul Stone and made entire theatres cry? It was the end of an era, especially for those who have been loving the badass Avenger since her first appearance in Iron Man 2. Even though Scarlett Johansson “returned” to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Black Widow, it was melancholic for her fans to watch knowing that the film was set before the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Scarlett Johansson sure played the hell out of Natasha all these years, so much so that it is impossible for us to imagine another actress in her shoes. However, her career outside of the MCU is equally impressive, if not more. Her upcoming Wes Anderson project proves that the actress has juicy roles all lined up and ready to go!

Paging Sam Wilson! “Captain America: Brave New World” flies to cinemas over the weekend, and Marvel’s latest adventure hopes to thaw an icy box office.
“Captain America: Brave New World,” in which Anthony Mackie’s Avenger takes over the star-spangled shield from Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, is targeting $80 million to $85 million over the traditional weekend and $90 million to $95 million through the Presidents Day holiday. The tentpole, which cost north of $180 million before marketing, is landing in roughly 4,100 North American theaters.
The film is expected to add another $110 million at the international box office, though it’ll contend in China with “Ne Zha 2,” which has become the highest-grossing release in the country’s history with $1.1 billion and counting, and “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,” which is going straight to Peacock in the U.S. but playing theatrically in the rest of the world.

Stanley Tucci was there for the beginnings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Abraham Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger. The character was the scientist who created the Super Soldier Serum, and Tucci told Variety that he still considers Dr. Erskine to be one of the greatest roles he’s ever had.
“I loved ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ it was one of the greatest roles and jobs I’ve ever had,” Tucci said. “I was there for three weeks and had a wonderful time, and I also loved playing that character. I was cast as a 70-year-old man at the age of 50, so that was disturbing, but that’s all right; I was flattered and insulted at the same time.“

One Avenger's track record makes him the most successful MCU hero out of all major members of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The McU's Avengers were a really unbalanced team of heroes. Avengers like Thor and Hulk are capable of fighting gods by themselves, while Black Widow and Hawkeye don't have any real superpowers and usually wield rather mundane weapons like handguns and arrows. However, the Avengers have saved the world multiple times, and only a handful of them have died for good.
Curiously, the weakest Avengers aren't necessarily the ones who get defeated the most, as powerful heroes like Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America have lost more often than Hawkeye. Despite Hawkeye's fame as "the weakest Avenger", Clint Barton has proved his worth as an Avengers-level hero several times in the MCU so far. In fact, Hawkeye may have the best Avenger track record in the MCU, having survived major...

No original Avenger is confirmed for Marvel's 2025 lineup, but one needs to appear to resolve a glaring story issue. 12 years after The Avengers, only a few of the original team are still active in the MCU timeline. Iron Man and Black Widow sacrificed themselves to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Endgame and Captain America retired with Peggy Carter. Thor, Bruce Banner, and Hawkeye are the only original MCU Avengers left, and they still have more to do. However, it's unknown when these characters will return next.
The McU's 2025 lineup includes three movies and three Disney+ shows. Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye aren't expected in any of these projects, but Hawkeye has connections to Thunderbolts* and Daredevil. While Hawkeye wouldn't have a starring role, the character needs to return in 2025 to address the narrative ties he has to these two projects.

One of Iron Man's best MCU armor designs was given an incredible upgrade in What If...? season 3. Released over eight consecutive days, What If...? season 3, final chapter in the animated MCU series, introduced new variants, such as a Celestial Agatha Harkness, an Avenger Red Guardian, Storm's Goddess of Thunder and the Mech Avengers, to the MCU. The latter, debuting in What If...? season 3, episode 1, "What If... the Hulk Fought the Mech Avengers?," gave one of Iron Man's best live-action designs an unexpected twist.
During his time in the MCU, Tony Stark created many different Iron Man armors, each more technically-proficient and advanced than the last. Many of these were destroyed during his battle against Aldrich Killian in 2013's Iron Man 3, but he continued to innovate long after his Phase 2 trilogy-capper. In fact, some of Iron Man's best designs were seen after Iron Man 3, and one...

What If...? season 3 has returned to Disney+ for its third and final season and today's episode, "What If... With that, the teenage girl watching the show hears a commotion and sees one of the beasts outside!
In reality, the "Gamma War" began after Sam Wilson met Bruce Banner in Washington D.C. instead of Steve Rogers. Sam convinced Bruce to attend his group therapy sessions to deal with the trauma of being The Hulk and the two soon became friends. However, when Bruce "Hulked Out" in front of Sam, he fled and attempted to put an end to the Jade Giant once and for all.

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever had, and it could feature two very distinct roles for its biggest stars. The MCU has not seen the release of a new Avengers movie since 2019, when Avengers: Endgame broke all box office records and ended the Infinity Saga with a bang. After that, Marvel has faced issues with its Multiverse Saga. Even though films like Spider-Man: No Way Home entered the list of the McU's best movies, overall, this chapter of the franchise has felt directionless.
To fix that, the McU's Avengers movies are making a huge comeback. Avengers: Doomsday sees a new Avengers team assemble in 2026, while 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars puts an end to the Multiverse Saga. Major stars are going to be part of the films, which are expected to include both MCU players and actors from all of Marvel's live-action history,...

Bucky Barnes actor and MCU alum Sebastian Stan reveals he's excited about the Dcu's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and that's a great sign for James Gunn's DC Universe. Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes last appeared in a co-starring role with Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Disney just released brand-new footage of upcoming Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel TV shows, including never-before-seen clips from Andor season 2 that feature an incredible Tie Avenger. Andor is largely considered one of Star Wars' best shows, and Andor season 2 is among the most highly anticipated projects of Star Wars' upcoming TV shows. Although details about Andor season 2 have been kept under wraps for the most part, these new clips from Disney reveal some of the exciting updates to come in the show's second season.
One of the most exciting clips of those Disney just released includes Cassian Andor sitting in the cockpit of a Tie Avenger, a model of Tie fighter that was curiously discontinued in Star Wars. DC Studios co-ceo and co-chairman James Gunn has a lot on his shoulders. The writer, director, and producer is in charge of the new cinematic DC Universe (along with fellow co-ceo and co-chairman Peter Safran), and his upcoming "Superman" film is going to be the catalyst to kick it all off. Gunn's "Superman," starring David Corenswet as the titular Kryptonian, has to work for audiences and get people hooked on this new cinematic universe fast, as many of the DC characters (including Superman) will be entering the public domain in the next decade or two. Gunn previously wrote and directed "The Suicide Squad" in 2021, showing audiences what his unique voice could look like using DC Comics characters, and without many of the constraints of working within the other major comics super-franchise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dr. Bruce Banner and his furious alter ego, The Hulk, have had a memorable journey throughout their Marvel Cinematic Universe movie appearances, always getting in a memorable line or two. Between Bruce Banner's profound intellect and dorky sense of humor and The Hulk's sheer rage and child-like emotional maturity, the original Avenger has been the source of some impactful lines throughout the MCU. Even if Disney's rights to a solo Hulk film prevented him from headlining a movie more than once, The Hulk has been an integral voice in each of his appearances in the franchise.
Hulk's role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline has gone through drastically varying levels of importance. In some Avengers films, the power of the Hulk and Dr. Banner's keen intellect keep him in the spotlight, allowing for some great dialogue to be channeled through him. The The Avengers have been one of Marvels most successful flagship properties since their real-world conception in 1963. Since then, the team has gone on to host nearly one hundred members in its ranks throughout multiple iterations and forms. Just in the last decade alone, the Avengers have frequently expanded the team throughout the frequently occurring apocalyptic comic events.
Most of the last decades Avengers additions have been drafted into the primary Avengers team or the relatively recently formed Avengers Unity Division. Strength, adaptability, endurance, and skill are all criteria a hero must meet before being accepted. Despite the teams large number of previous members, it is a highly exclusive group. That said, not every Avenger stands equal to each other. Looking back at the last decade of comics, here are fifteen powerful Avengers who have joined in the last ten years.

The premiere of Agatha All Along began with "Detective Agnes" discovering Wanda Maximoff's dead body, and even though we never saw her face, a lot of fans expected Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch to show up in the recent finale.
The former Avenger never appeared, and we only got a vague update on her current MCU status (she's dead... unless she isn't?), and it sounds like enlisting Olsen for a cameo was never a real possibility.
While speaking to THR, showrunner Jac Schaeffer explained why she felt that bringing Wanda back for the finale would have ended up being detrimental to Agatha's story.

As part of Marvel Television's 2025 slate preview, we have a first look at Wonder Man ahead of its release on Disney+ next December.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is playing Simon Williams and, in this brief preview, we discover that he's an actor auditioning for the lead role in a movie called "Wonder Man."
Marvel Studios is clearly putting a different spin on the Avenger here and we'd imagine he'll somehow acquire powers during this story...unless he already has them, of course. For Marvel fans, the word "endgame" will always be associated with the iconic Avengers: Endgame; the movie that changed the Marvel Cinematic Universe and actually served as the endgame of its Infinity Saga. But the franchise is looking ahead to a new endgame now (in both senses of the word), as its ongoing Multiverse Saga will conclude with Avengers: Secret Wars.

As one of the sons of the Scarlet Witch, Billy Maximoff's Wiccan shares many abilities with his mother. This includes access to Chaos Magic and reality warping powers, which could make Maximoff a formidable member of the McU's upcoming Young Avengers team. This has now been imagined in a new...

Two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Matt Bors has been entertaining readers with his thought-provoking work for years, and now he's bringing his incisive commentary to Tromaville in The Toxic Avenger comic book series. Written by Bors with artwork by Fred Harper, The Toxic Avenger #1 (the first of five issues) is now available from Ahoy Comics.
To celebrate the new release, Daily Dead caught up with Bors in a new Q&a feature to discuss his timely take on Toxie, pitching his idea to Lloyd Kaufman at San Diego Comic-Con, his affection for The Toxic Avenger movies and cartoon series, and what readers can expect from the latest addition to the boundary-pushing franchise. Bors also talks about working with Ben Clarkson on Justice Warriors: Vote Harder, the new graphic novel that takes readers back to Bubble City and is also now available from Ahoy Comics!

The fate of the MCUs version of Wanda Maximoff and the future of WandaVision was confirmed by Marvel nearly three years after the shows premiere. Wanda Maximoff undergoes a tragic character arc in WandaVision that sees her put her powers to their most horrific use in the MCU, as she transitions from Avenger to multiverse-threatening supervillain. By the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Scarlet Witch's death is somewhat ambiguous, potentially leaving the door open for future appearances.
Overcome by grief over the loss of her lover, Vision, after Avengers: Infinity War, Wanda Maximoff unleashes her powers on the town of Westview and eventually embraces the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Even though she was thought to have died, Marvel's recent series, Agatha All Along, raises even more questions about what happened to her.

Deadpool has a nearly impossible task ahead of him if the hero is to ever surpass the Marvel Cinematic Universe Avenger that continues to rank above Wade Wilson when it comes to the box office. Deadpool & Wolverine just cemented the power of the mutant's franchise. Not only did the movie reunite Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on the big screen, but it also brought back several stars from past Marvel movies as part of Deadpool & Wolverine's surprise multiverse characters. The MCU movie broke box office records left and right.
According to the specialized box office tracking website Box Office Mojo, Deadpool & Wolverine is currently at $1.32 billion worldwide. That makes the MCU movie the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time by a comfortable margin. Reynolds' Deadpool franchise has a history of success, be it under Marvel Studios or Fox, as the two non-mcu Deadpool films also broke many box office records.

Quick Links Avenger Knight & Death Castle Weaknesses & Resistances In Episode Aigis How To Defeat Avenger Knight & Death Castle
To beat Avenger Knight and Death Castle in Episode Aigis: The Answer, there are a few key things for Persona 3 Reload to keep in mind in terms of weaknesses, resistances, and strategy. A tough double-boss battle on the B20 floor of Antenora dungeon within the Abyss of Time is arguably the trickiest battle in the Dlc so far. With that, your team needs to consist of the right members.
While these bosses are essentially larger and tougher versions of their common Shadow counterparts, these two are beefed up with stronger stats, more aggressive attacks, and altered vulnerabilities. It goes without saying this is a lot tougher than identifying Precious Hand's weakness in Persona 3 Reload Episode Aigis: The Answer. Knowing this key info is essential for any player wanting to progress onto the next floor.

It's an interesting time to be a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The franchise's current Multiverse Saga means that you could very well see different versions of your favorite MCU characters, your favorite actors return in different roles, or your favorite characters from pre-mcu Marvel movies make their presence felt on the franchise. When they say anything can happen in the McU's Multiverse Saga, they may very well mean anything.
We've seen more than enough examples of this in recent years, with Hugh Jackman's return as Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's returns as their respective Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Patrick Stewart's return as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness all sending the internet into meltdown. It's truly remarkable what this franchise is capable of at all times, but especially when it comes to moments like that.

Early in the Avengers iconic MCU career, one quote uttered by Captain America informed every one of the Avengers stories, save for the one Avenger it was said to. Marvel first assembled the eponymous team in 2012s The Avengers, taking a bold step as it grouped multiple larger-than-life superheroes in what would become a standard-setting superhero team-up spectacle. The movie excelled in emulating the success of team-up movies like 2000's X-Men, proving that multiple superheroes can be involved in a compelling story without it feeling overstuffed.
Part of what made the story so compelling was the presence of conflict within the Avengers team, making their eventual rallying together during the movie's climax even more satisfying to watch. This conflict manifested when Loki allowed himself to be captured and taken aboard the Helicarrier, where the mind stone began affecting the Avengers' rationale, causing them all to become antagonistic. The first movie in James Gunn’s DC Universe is currently slated to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Gunn is one of the shared universe’s overseers, and just to make sure the franchise gets off on the right foot, he has tasked himself to write and direct Superman (formerly Superman: Legacy). Its placement in the middle of July could help its chances of becoming a major summer blockbuster.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is scheduled for July 25, 2025, exactly two weeks after Superman. Of course, Marvel Studios would hope to claim a big piece of the superhero movie market share with its Fantastic Four introduction, which could mean encroaching on some of Superman’s ticket sales. Although this is not the first time that two popular comic book properties have tangled up at theatrical venues, this is shaping up to be a particularly high-profile box office bout.

It's been almost a year since the first teaser trailer for The Toxic Avenger remake was released. Updates have since been few and far between, a surprise when reviews from various film festivals have been largely positive (it currently sits at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes).
Recently, it was claimed that filmmaker Macon Blair's movie starring Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage is considered "unreleasable."
A producer supposedly connected to the project said The Toxic Avenger's commercial prospects are too "out there" for a traditional theatrical release, likely explaining why the movie still has no confirmed distributor. Why it hasn't been offloaded to a streaming platform is unclear, though it could be that agreements were made for it to be released theatrically.
Collider recently caught up with Dinklage and asked for another update; unfortunately, it sounds like he remains as in the dark as the rest of us.

The original Avengers' solo projects contributed significantly to the success of the MCU. Iron Man 2 was a big disappointment with a weak villain, too many characters, and a lack of excitement. Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the McU's best grounded film, with Marvel attempting to recreate its success multiple times.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is only the major success that it is today because of the original Avengers cast, as the stars contributed to the franchise with several solo projects over the past two decades. After uniting for the first time in 2012's The Avengers, Marvel's original six main heroes Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye would go on to have their MCU journeys intimately connected.

The Avengers subtly hinted at Hulk's hidden trauma with an impactful scene involving an empty crib. The tragic moment in The Avengers connected to a story ten years later, resolving Banner's dreams of having a family. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law introduced Skaar, making Bruce Banner a father and resolving the Hulk's storyline from The Avengers.
The Avengers is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most important movies, and I have just realized that the franchise paid off a subtle scene from the film ten years later. I watched all the MCU movies in the lead-up to The Avengers, but it was the Marvel team-up that made me an MCU fan. The event was the closest I felt was possible to a living, breathing comic book at the time. Since then, the McU's Avengers movies have continued to break the mold and get bigger and better.

There are a few unwritten rules for weddings. One, don’t wear white unless you’re the bride. Two, don’t make a speech unless you are specifically told to do so. And three, this is not your day. By all accounts, Jeremy Renner followed all of these at the wedding of fellow Avenger Chris Evans, but many of his friends and MCU stars couldn’t help but put a spotlight on the actor, who has made one hell of a recovery following his January 1st, 2023 accident.
Speaking on Jeremy Renner’s recovery and just how far he has come in that time, Avengers co-star Robert Downey Jr. said, “If there’s one characteristic we’d all agree is paramount…it’s resilience. To see Renner embody that literally, and in the context of what was basically a Portuguese American wedding, was mind-blowing. Fully recovered and ready to celebrate. So,...

Hollywood stars Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr are celebrating their ‘Avenger’ co-star Jeremy Renner’s recovery after his 2023 fatal snow plow accident. Hemsworth and Downey Jr said in a new interview that the crew is still in contact with each other via a group text chain, which is how they initially found out about Renner’s accident.
“He sent us all a sort of a doped out, hospital, beat-up image and said, ‘All good, guys.’ And then I didn’t hear from him for a while as he was in the thick of it,” Hemsworth said in an interview with Vanity Fair, reports deadline.com.
Last year in September, Renner attended Chris Evans’ wedding, where they all praised him for his recovery.
