Good songs. Routine action.

Trinetra review :

A typical Mithun Chakraborty actioner with Dharmendra in guest role and Shilpa Shirodkar as the female lead; Trinetra was produced and directed by debutant Harry Baweja who later made hits like Dilwale (1994) and Diljale (1996) with Ajay Devgn. Baweja was assistant to producer- director B. Subhash earlier and had worked with Mithun in Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki (1984) and Dance Dance (1987). Naturally, he was the first choice for the main lead.

Anand Milind's music was highlight of the movie specially Kumar Sanu's melodious number "Main tujhe chhod ke kahan jaaunga". I saw Trinetra in theatre only for this song which remains my all time favourite. The song picturised on Dharmendra and Deepa Sahi appears within first ten minutes of the movie after which he is killed by the villain Amrish Puri. His son grows up to be apna Mithun da who avenges his father's death but not before singing a couple of rainy duets with the voluptuous Shilpa Shirodkar.

Trinetra was not bad for the early '90s though I dont know what made the sexy Maya memsaab Deepa Sahi agree to play Mithun da's mother in the film??!!!
