The film, despite being from Denmark, had Danish subtitles because of the strong southern Jutland accent spoken by the actors in this film. This was to secure a wider and younger audience.
Selected as the second best Danish movie of the decade by the film critics of the Danish newspaper 'Information'. (Number one was Dogville (2003).)
