Kevin Pollak and TV veterans Tony Hale and Peter Krause have joined the cast of “Night Owls,” an indie comedy that stars Adam Pally (“The Mindy Project”) and Rosa Salazar (“Parenthood”), TheWrap has learned. Charles Hood (“Freezer Burn”) is directing from a script he co-wrote with Seth Goldsmith. Production is currently under way. Pally stars as Kevin, a workaholic who has a drunken one-night stand with Madeline, a beautiful train wreck who he's horrified to discover is actually his boss’ jilted ex-mistress. When Madeline ingests an entire bottle of sleeping pills, Kevin is forced to keep her awake through the night.

Despite filming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier using Los Angeles, CA, and Cleveland, Oh, to double for Washington, DC, where the sequel’s plot is set in and around, there are plans for the Marvel production to shoot on-location in the Capital City. The D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development site has now specified some of those plans. “Betsy Royall Casting, Csa will be casting the DC days for the movie, Freezer Burn. Happy Endings, as it’s entirely aware of itself, has plenty to thank Friends for. Especially that with no Fat Joey we’d have no Max, and with no Max we’d have no Bear Max. But the top-notch comedy has traces of another popular sitcom to it: How I Met Your Mother. Well, Himym during its heyday, anyway, and not this recent wave of weekly cliffhangers and melodrama. (When will it cease?!)

During last night’s episode of Happy Endings, titled “The Butterfly Effect Effect,” I couldn’t help but hope that their Spring Smackdown will become like the Himym equivalent of slap bet.
