The "Latin Dragon" does it again this roller coaster ride of martial arts action. Police Detective Bobby Giovanni's wife has been murdered, his children taken into care and he wants revenge.

If you rate this based on acting and quality of how it was shot - well you will go way below the 5 I gave it. So why am I going higher than that? No pun intended and it has not so much to do with me being nice (maybe a little bit), but more with the fact that the action/stunt scenes are not that bad. I&#39;ve seen better of course, but if you only watch this because it has some fighting in it: you might just be at least satisfied. The story is a bit confusing to say the least and I reckon it tries to make more of itself than there is ... but you&#39;ll be the judge if they are able to pull off the twist they think they have in their hands (again no pun intended).

Indie martial arts movies tend to be hit or miss affairs. Most are completely dreadful, unwatchably so. Some are semi-decent and only a very few actually stand as watchable films in their own right. DOUBLE TAP lands somewhere middle of the field, with some surprisingly decent and well-choreographed fight sequences held within a plot which is strictly pedestrian and downright dull. A couple of familiar faces (Richard Tyson and Robert LaSardo) show up for minor appearances, but for most of the running time the viewer is stuck with the gruff and hulking Fabian Carrillo, who kicks and thumps his way through nuggets of plot. The first scenes are worth a look, but you&#39;d do well to fast forward the rest.
