The Lives and Loves of Gonzo the Great: "Won't Somebody Dance with Me?" and "Gonzo meets a cow" as well as "Ecology: An Editorial by Sam the Eagle" were included in "The Muppet Show Book", published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc in 1978, in which the sequences were entirely illustrated by Tudor Banus.

Crazy credits
The end credits of this cow-themed episode change two of the series' usual routines. Instead of a joke from Statler and Waldorf, Gonzo is shown talking to the cow. And when Zoot blows his saxophone at the end, instead of its normal sound it makes a mooing sound.
