In "The Boy Who Predicted Earthquakes", the boy is played by Clint Howard, the brother of actor/director Ron Howard. Their father, Rance Howard, plays the camera man in a bit role.
Joseph Campanella, cast as Dracula in the short segment, related the time during filming when his children visited him on the set. His youngest son was so frightened of seeing his dad as Dracula, he slapped him across the face.

The earthquake predicted by Herbie Bittman (Clint Howard) was the Sylmar earthquake which took place in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains in southern California at 6:00:41 am on February 9, 1971. It lasted 12 seconds and had a magnitude of between 6.5 and 6.7 on the Richter scale. 64 people were killed while approximately 2,000 were injured.
