This entire episode is an homage to Werewolf monster movies, and horror movies in general. The transformation scenes are similar to one of the most famous Werewolf movies, An American Werewolf in London (1981). Beast Boy's kidnapping and protecting Raven - yet being the misunderstood monster - is a famous staple in such ape themed movies as King Kong (1933) and Mighty Joe Young (1949). And Raven floating in the Titans Tower infirmary is similar to a scene in Ghostbusters (1984).

Goofs
Beast Boy ripped his clothes when he turned into the beast but when he turned back he was wearing his clothes again.

I'm not really much into Superheroes, but this show rocks!

When I first saw the promo of this back in July 2003, I was so stoked to see it. And I really like this show, Like A lot. It's about five adolescences with all of these crazy techniques, and with them they must stop Jump City from the likes of Slade, Killer Moth, Mumbo Jumbo, Cynderblock, Plasma, Trigon, and much more! It's tons of fun. And the most amazing thing you would want to watch just after getting out from School. It's a real shame that the show has been off CN for many many years. But, there are some videos of the Episodes of the Show online or DVD's. go download/watch the episodes or buy the entire DVD collection if you're a huge fan of the series. Overall I give this a 9/10.
