There have been a slew of cartoons to come out on Cartoon Network and other networks that featured animated shows that were killed for no apparent reason. Despite smooth productions, great storylines, and even sizable viewership, shows like Young Justice, Generator Rex, ThunderCats, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series just did not have what it takes to keep them on air.

While these shows had a lot of good storylines and great viewership behind them, action cartoons, especially the likes of Generator Rex and Ben 10, actually need one pillar to work out more than anything else: merchandise. The products that sustained these shows were usually toys, the sales of which would determine whether the investment behind the shows that were supposed to sell them was even worth it.

"You got one week. Then they'll kill the case." Netflix has revealed the full official trailer for the Polish crime thriller film titled Justice (or Napad in Polish), arriving for streaming in October this fall. It's a new film from the duo of director Michał Gazda and producer Magdalena Szwedkowicz - the team behind last year's success of Forgotten Love also on Netflix to watch. Set at the beginning of the 90s (after the communist era ended), a discharged police officer is given a chance to reclaim his old life in exchange for capturing a group responsible for a ruthless bank robbery. The detective must act quickly, as media attention could complicate matters for the new government. Starring Olaf Lubaszenko as the cop, with Jedrzej Hycnar, Wiktoria Gorodecka, and Magdalena Boczarska. This seems like a true crime story from Poland's history, but it also doesn't seem to be based any real case.

Justice League: War was released in 2014 as part of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies franchise. It is based on the Geoff Johns and Jim Lee comic book Justice League: Origin, which was a part of The New 52, DC's reboot in the 2010s. The New 52 brought lots of new origins to the DC universe, not least among them was the Justice League.
The most obvious difference between the movie and the comic book is the roster. Granted, the rosters are mostly the same in both versions, but with one difference: In the movie, Aquaman is replaced by Shazam. Justice League: War still features Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Cyborg, but it is Shazam who stands in for Aquaman in this adaptation.
Justice League: War's connection to Origins
The villain is Darkseid in both, the ruler of the planet Apokolips. Darkseid's intimidating presence and army of parademons are featured in both.

Following I Saw the TV Glow's release from A24, the film's director spoke on what exactly the movie's ending means.
The 2024 psychological horror movie centers on two troubled young friends with a connection to a TV show, which drives them insane and leads them to question reality. Using supernatural elements, the film terrified viewers as the idea of identity was questioned throughout its 100-minute runtime.
Showing a look into the trans community, the film ends with Justice Smith's Owen never seeing his friend Maddy again after bonding over the TV show years before. He realizes he's no longer the same person he thought he was, freaking out and having a mental breakdown before starting to find his true self looking in the mirror.

The Acolyte, Disney’s latest high-profile Star Wars show, is set well before the the Skywalker era. Here’s our review of the first two episodes.
Disney’s The Acolyte premiered its first two episodes with a lot of expectations on its shoulders. The recent Star Wars shows have been full of ups and downs; The Mandalorian has lost its groove, Obi-Wan Kenobi was disappointing nostalgia bait, but Andor was genuinely excellent.
The Acolyte has promised to be a darker, more violent take on the galaxy far, far away. But based on the first two episodes, showrunner Leslye Headland has so far served up more of the same as what came before.
We’ll do our best to give you a relatively spoiler-free description of the premise. A young Force-user is wreaking havoc in the galaxy, killing Jedi masters. Lee Jung-jae’s Sol investigates along with a former Padawan and,...

How do we know what music is actually good? Many fans look to critics. Sure, some might label music journalism as irrelevant in assigning value to art, but the reality is, critics do at least partly contribute to the consensus on the quality of music. That’s why, whether it is during a civilized conversation or the most rabid Twitter stan war, an album’s Metacritic score typically comes up. So award show voters must take those top albums more into consideration than others, right? To be a big awards player, doesn’t your album need to be somewhat acclaimed?
Let’s take a look at the past three Grammy ceremonies as examples. Since these are ceremonies with no nomination review committees involved, the results are a more accurate, unfiltered reflection of what voters think. According to Metacritic, anything below 81 is not “universally acclaimed,” so that’s how I’ll sort it out.

As Wonder Woman goes into it's third weekend in theaters, comic book fans now look toward the next film in the franchise, Justice League. We know that the film took a big hit due to a tragedy in director Zack Snyder's life, which forced him to depart from the project leaving Josh Whedon in charge to finish the post production. Currently the film is going through some extensive re shoots at Cardington Studios in Bedfordshire, England. It is at this location where we got a peek at an iconic building that may be featured in the film.

When Chicago Justice was announced, many people asked "Do we really need a Chicago lawyer show?" Based on Chicago Justice Season 1 Episode 1, the answer is we most certainly do.
"Fake" is everything that Chicago Justice needed to be and everything that a great legal drama should be. It's a smartly written hour with genuine suspense that provokes meaningful discussion, and the Law & Order references are a very nice touch for anyone who knows their Dick Wolf series history.
The episode wisely stays away from simplifying its legal drama down to "Chicago Pd catches bad guy and State's Attorneys bust bad guy." It actively attacks the police's investigation of the massive warehouse arson and encourages the audience to do the same.
It even gets particularly thorny when State's Attorney Mark Jefferies, who is as politically minded as he is legally minded, makes his top litigator Peter Stone aware that both Stone's...

The cover art for Justice League Dark is finally here, and yes, it puts Batman right in the centre. (Spoiler alert: Please do not read on if you have not watched Thursday’s episode of “Legends of Tomorrow,” titled “The Justice Society of America”) “Legends of Tomorrow” has revealed exactly what happened to Rex Tyler, a.k.a. Hourman (Patrick J. Adams), in the Season 1 finale. It turns out, he was blinking out of the timeline because back in his own time period of 1942, he has died at the hands of the Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher). “When we introduced Hourman, we actually had a bunch of different potential scenarios,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told reporters following a screening of the episode,...

Power Rangers teaming up with the Justice League? That would never happen in my wildest dreams....right? Guess we'll have to file that thought under things I would have said yesterday.
Well it looks like Boom Studios and DC Comics will be teaming up to combine the Justice League and the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team. Scheduled for January of 2016 these two teams will unite for a six issue mini series written by Tom Taylor (Injustice: Gods Among Us, Superior Iron Man) and drawn by Stephen Byrne (Green Arrow, Serenity). As the story will go a teleporter accident transports our Black Ranger Zack to an alternate world where the DC heroes reside.
No more of the story has been revealed but you know how these stories go, misunderstanding between heroes, fight begins, common threat forces them to team up for the greater good. But hey would you care if...

Tonight’s season 2 premiere of Legends of Tomorrow kicked things off with a bang as we were taken to multiple points in time alongside the ragtag team of heroes as they set off on a whole new adventure. However, they soon met their match in Damien Darhk, and things look set to get even more difficult for them following that last minute reveal.
That’s right, Darhk was working alongside the Reverse-Flash all along, and while we’ve yet to meet the other members of the Legion of Doom (Captain Cold and Malcolm Merlyn), it’s fair to say that the Legends have a serious new threat on their hands here.

The Legends of Tomorrow actually have two new missions for Season 2 — one of them being to remind us, “Time travel is supposed to be fun!”

Coming off of a heavily serialized, sci-fi-heavy freshman run, The CW’s Arrow/Flash offshoot reboots things a bit when it returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8/7c, as evidenced from the very first scene, in which someone we’ve never met before barges into Mayor Oliver Queen’s office with a wild theory about Green Arrow’s time-traveling friends having gone “missing” — in the past. With just under a week to go until the season 2 premiere of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The CW has spoiled us with an amazing new extended trailer that hints at the veritable treasure trove of DC riches that the series’ producers have access to. I really believe the first season only scratched the surface when it comes to what this show can achieve and, if this new promo video is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for a wild 13 episodes.
Not only does a returning Jonah Hex factor into the new footage, but we also see Hourman and his Justice Society of America cohorts at their iconic brownstone, which looks every bit as majestic as it did on Smallville. Be sure to also keep your eyes peeled for an encounter between Damien Darhk and The Reverse Flash in what may very well be the beginning of the Legion of Doom,...

Even though the detective will shift to NBC’s legal offshoot as a series regular later this season, actor Jon Seda tells TVLine he’ll be visiting Intelligence plenty in the future. In fact, Antonio will be jumping between the franchise’s many dramas all season long.

When the first images from season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow were released, many fans questioned why Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen seemed to have such a big presence. He’s made cameo appearances in the series before, but the pics pointed to him playing a key role in bringing this ragtag team of heroes and villains back together again.
Thankfully, that’s something the synopsis for “Out of Time” sheds some light on. Interestingly, there’s no mention of Hourman, after he travelled from the future to warn the team of an impending threat in the season one finale, but there are some hints about the role that Dr. Nate Heywood (better known to comic book readers as Citizen Steel) will play here.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has just released a new promo!
Talk about exciting. Oh the places they will go.
To get things started, not only will they be visiting some point in the history of France, but the Queen? She'll find our Sara Lance quite fetching. Just how fetching? Ahem.
Did we have any doubt our girl could attract royalty??
Now, you'd think it would be really exciting for Professor Stein to meet someone like Einstein, right?
Except, Mick likes him. Because Einstein is a bit of a pig.
He's got a way with the ladies, it appears, and his outlandish behavior will do the team some good.
Their plot, by listening to just a snippet, is to kidnap the guy. This gives Our Stein a chance to do something very unlike him.
Other sources said they saw Reverse Flash somewhere in this promo, but God help me, I couldn't find him.
