A Christmas Treat is a 4 minute long short film made by a twenty-one year old Timothy Michael Sullivan (who would later go on to make the film 2001 Maniacs, and help write the script for Troma's Chillerama) in 1985.
And it won him the Short Film Search Award put out by Fangoria Magazine that year.
It effectively works as a music video for the crooner version of Nat King Cole's The Christmas Song.
With a young boy named Jason (his actual name) being put to bed on Christmas Eve, and told "not to peak" at Santa.
Because when he does...he's in for quite a horrific surprise.
Which, humourously, doesn't seem to bother his parents much.
It's all very short and sweet, but it's become a bit of a Christmas horror short film classic...as it predates most of the other Christmas themed short films that we now have in the canon.
And goes to show, that you can start off small and work your way into a career in the industry (even if that career is with Troma haha).
3 out of 10.
