This movie was written by two fourteen year old kids: Frankie Frain and Will Forte. The movie is about Miguel who is just a fat crap wanting to lose ten pounds. His brother Peter has leprosy and is trying to get help from an incompetent doctor. While Miguel and Peter are trying to work past their personal hurdles an evil villain is planning. This mastermind is none other than Richard Simmons who is trying to find a leader for his fat army. Obviously, Miguel is the ideal candidate. This indie flick is chock full of crude humor and vulgarity and hysterical gags. This is the epitome of independent film-making, made on a shoe string budget and has an array of memorable characters. I do suggest the movie, I have been honored to get a copy of it. It will be out in stores soon and is being distributed by Troma.

Overweight highschool student, Miguel, attempts to lose ten pounds in order to spice up his social life. However, name calling classmates are the least of his worries when the sinister celebrity Richard Simmons casts his evil gaze over Miguels large appetite. Through a strange twist of events, Miquel finds himself teamed with sleezy Silly Wanka in a bout to prevent world domination, and to lose a couple of pounds on the side.
So how funny could a movie be about someone trying to lose weight? At first I was skeptical but soon became pleasantly surprised. I Need To Lose Ten Pounds weaves class slapstick and witty humour to create a blanket of laugh out loud fun that'll leave you singing it's brilliantly written musical numbers all the way home.

This movie was hilarious, I don't care what people say. When the guy appeared at the kitchen table out of nowhere (for example), I couldn't stop laughing. Definitely my kind of humor. Loved it. The songs and everything were well put together. Filming was great, and the extras on the DVD were funny also. The whole George Lucas one and such. ;) I don't know where the ideas of this movie spawned from but they were very imaginative! Some of the scenes just came out of nowhere, and the music just starts up. I can't wait to see the future work of this director as his knowledge progresses, and hope he gets big eventually so I can be a groupy. Keep up the good work.
