Brady has risen to fame on various TV shows, including Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Wayne Brady Show.

More recently, Brady has gained popularity as the host of the game show Let’s Make a Deal, which is part of CBS’s daytime lineup, including The Price Is Right.

He’s among the nominees due to his work on the game show but will have Roberts and others to contend with for the win.

Exclusive: The details of Disney’s Entertainment Television’s latest round of layoffs are starting to emerge.

Deadline understands that the company is combining the unscripted teams at ABC Entertainment and Hulu. The move was made by Rob Mills, EVP Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment at Walt Disney Television.

As a result, two of the unscripted team’s senior vice presidents are exiting as part of the layoffs.

We hear that Tiffany Faigus, who is SVP Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, ABC Entertainment and Walt Disney Television Alternative, and Belisa Balaban, SVP Original Documentaries and Unscripted Series, Hulu Originals, are out.

Faigus has been with ABC since 2015. She was promoted in 2021, having previously been VP Alternative Series and Specials, taking on a new role that encompassed both the network and the unscripted studio side of the business at Walt Disney Television Alternative. Demand for foreign-language content in English-speaking markets has risen by nearly a quarter in the last four years, according to Ampere Analysis, and the likes of Squid Game and Parasite have been named as among the key drivers. Regular viewing of non-English TV shows and movies has increased by 24% among 18-64s in the UK, U.S., Australia and Canada since Q1 2020, according to the research firm’s study. In good news for streamers, some 54% said they watched non-English titles “very often” or “sometimes,” up 43% in that period. South Korean shows are, perhaps unsurprisingly, driving the viewing with a 35% rise in frequent viewing, with the likes of Squid Game and Parasite highlighting the wares from South Korea. After expanding into the U.K., the U.S. and the Netherlands, Paris-based leading unscripted production banner Satisfaction is set to gain ground in Spanish-speaking markets. Satisfaction founder Arthur Essebag, who is also an entrepreneur and famed TV host, has teamed up with Daniel Domenjo, a well-established Spanish producer and host, to create Satisfaction Iberia.

The new company will be developing, adapting and producing mainly unscripted content for Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American markets, and will aim to work with a broad range of international partners.

Domenjo, who previously ran Mediacrest and spearheaded the production of many hit formats in Spain, has been appointed CEO of Satisfaction Iberia. Soon, the locals to where the film was taking place got very angry about the depiction of their fellow mountain and wood residents, which they thought gave them a bad name. Horror fans responded by seeing the film anyways, making it a minor hit. The first film had a budget of $12.6 million and made $28.7 million at the box office. While this may lead to a sequel at times, it was not a given. Fast forward to 4 years later and we are gifted with the first of a long series of sequels.

Kleber Mendonça Filho’s Pictures Of Ghosts will open the 15th Hollywood Brazilian Film Festival running November 6 to 11.

The documentary, this year’s Brazilian submission for the Oscars, explores the picture palaces of Filho’s hometown of Recife. It will screen at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and premiered in Cannes Special Screenings. US distributors are Grasshopper Film and Gratitude Films.

BBC One has announced a new series of Jimmy McGovern's Moving On.

The fifth run of the daytime series will be the first drama to premiere in its entirety on BBC iPlayer.

As with previous series, the drama will consist of five stand-alone films, produced by Accused creator McGovern.

Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street), Anita Dobson (EastEnders), Anthony Flanagan (The Village) and Jo Joyner (EastEnders) will be among the new series' stars.

Lee Ingleby (Inspector George Gently), Duncan Preston (Love And Marriage), Ray Fearon (Harry Potter), Emma Cuniffe (The Lakes), Sharon Horgan (Pulling) and Craig Kelly (Coronation Street) will also appear.

The lineup is completed by Taj Atwal (Stella), Amy Nuttall (Downton Abbey), Ramon Tikaram (White Heat), Jo-Anne Knowles (Waterloo Road) Rosalind Ayres (Outnumbered), Emma Lowndes (Cranford) and Keith Barron (The Chase).

Former The Bill actress Kim Tiddy joins the cast as ex-model and headstrong mother Heidi, the matriarchal figurehead of the soap's new family - the Costellos. Heidi's former footballer husband Carl - played by The Chase actor Paul Opacic - arrives at the same time, along with their two children - ladies' man Riley (Rob Norbury) and his younger brother Seth (Miles Higson), who's desperate to prove himself to his parents.
