The film was distributed straight to DVD in several countries.
Thomas Kretschmann, Daniel Burhl and Vera Farmiga would go on to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Kretschmann as Hydra officer Strucker in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (2015). Bruhl appeared as Baron Nemo in "Avengers: Civil War" (2016), and the same character again on the Marvel mini-series "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" (2021) and Farmiga is set to appear in the miniseries Hawkeye (2021).
