This movie was considered to be lost like many other films that disappeared during World War II. A forgotten copy was found in 1997 in Belgium. With a soundtrack written and recorded by three modern Polish composers this Henryk Szaro's drama of people's cruelty, desires and weaknesses was released on DVD in 2006.
Interviewed after the film's premiere, director Henryk Szaro said he had shot about five hours of footage. Less than eighty minutes made it into the final cut. All deleted scenes are now lost and probably do not exist anymore.
