IGN has debuted the trailer for horror thriller “The Descent: Part 2“
“The Descent: Part 2″ picks up immediately after the events depicted in “The Descent” Sarah (Shauna MacDonald), emerges alone from a cave system following an expedition with her five friends in the Appalachian mountains. Distraught, injured and covered in the blood of her missing companions, Sarah is incoherent and half-wild with fear. Skeptical about her account of events and convinced Sarah’s psychosis hides far darker secrets, Sheriff Vaines forces her back into the caves to help locate the rest of the group. Trapped by falling rocks, the rescue party are driven deep into the caverns, and as one by one the fate of the missing girls is revealed, Sarah is forced to confront her deepest fears.
The film will be directed by Jon Harris (film editor on “Snatch”, ” Stardust” and “Kick-Ass”) in his directorial debut. He was an editor for “The Descent,...

If you saw The Phantom, then you've seen Billy Zane slam evil. But can he survive it? Surviving Evil casts Zane as a TV survival host whose show taping on a remote Philippine island becomes that much more dangerous when they disturb the domain of an Aswang, a hideous ghoul of Filipino lore.
Surviving Evil also stars Natalie Jackson Mendoza ("Juno" of The Descent and its sequel), as well as Christina Cole (The Deaths of Ian Stone).
The UK/South African co-production is slated to premiere next month in Africa. No announcement yet as to when the rest of us can expect to see it. In the meantime you can find out more via the film's Facebook page and check out the first trailer below.

Here is another trailer I tripped over at TrailerAddict.com, Surviving Evil, starring Billy Zane. Ta has the release date listed as October 10, 2009, which really doesn't makes sense since it does not fall on a Tuesday, typically the day DVDs are released. I contactacted Fries Films to see if they could give us an exact U.S. release date, since I can't seem to find one listed anywhere else. I'll update this page once they let me know. Official Synopsis: Can the survival skills expert "Seb" protect his crew from the Aswang - horrifying, mythical creatures from Philippine folklore that live in the trees, that can change their shape, hunt for human flesh and crave the blood of pregnant women? When Phoebe discovers she is carrying a child the group find themselves frighting for their lives in a jungle filled with terror.

I know I’m at Los Angeles’ American Film Market when, as soon as I get off the plane, I run into Lloyd Kaufman (in a men’s room, no less). The Troma chief serves as the Chairman of the Independent Film and Television Alliance, which runs the Afm. Who better to chair an organization and market dedicated to discovering and promoting movies created outside the studio system than Kaufman?
This November, the Afm unveils over 500 films in dozens of languages for prospective international buyers. They screen the majority of these new motion pictures at seven different screening venues in sunny Santa Monica. The Afm is the proud home for the smaller guys, foreign and art-house features and B- to Z-grade movies. Just about everything stars Michael Madsen, C. Thomas Howell and/or Billy Zane. Best of all, the number of genre films has increased substantially over the 11 years I’ve been coming here,...
