Chennai, Oct 15: After watching forthcoming Telugu action-comedy "Doosukeltha" at a private screening, director Srinu Vaitla is so impressed with lead actor Vishnu Manchu's work that he predicts it will outshine the success of "Dhee".

Vaitla and Vishnu worked together in Telugu blockbuster "Dhee", which gave the latter much needed hit in the initial years of his career.

"The first half of the film is gripping, while the second half is even more absorbing. Vishnu brings in many surprises firmly in the shoes of his character. With his excellent comic timing with Brahmanandam, he brings down the roof," Srinu Vaitla said in.

Mumbai, Oct 9: Popular Telugu actor Srihari went from being a stunt master to comedian, villain, lead actor and eventually one of the finest character actors of the Telugu industry.

While he may not have impressed audiences with his acts of buffoonery in the initial years of his career, as a villain and comedian he still resides in people's hearts with his strong character roles in films such as "Dhee", "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" and "Magadheera".

"He was one of the best character artists this industry ever had. He was sincere, extremely hardworking and very supportive. I'm extremely upset that he is no more, but I also take the credit for introducing him to the industry through my film," producer Mahendar told Ians.

Chennai, April 16: Ace Telugu director Sreenu Vaitla, known for teaming up with Gopi Mohan to write scripts, is likely to go solo for his upcoming action-drama "Aagadu".

"He (Sreenu Vaitla) is likely to write his own script for the film. He will be assisted by Gopi Mohan in the scripting sessions, but it will be Sreenu's own story," a member from the film's unit told Ians.

Of 13 films of Sreenu Vaitla, Gopi Mohan has penned the story for eight, which include "Dhee", "Ready", "Dubai Seenu" and "Dookudu".

In the beginning of his career, Vaitla wrote his own scripts for "Nee Kosam", "Anandam" and "Sontham".

In "Aagadu", the director has teamed up with actor Mahesh Babu and this will will their second project.

Chennai, April 5: On the occasion of the release of his Telugu action-drama "Baadshah", director Sreenu Vaitla joined Twitter Friday. He says he couldn't think of a better occasion to do it.

"What better occasion to join Twitter than the release of 'Baadshah'. Thank you all for the warm welcome," posted Sreenu on his Twitter page.

"Baadshah", directed by Sreenu Vaitla, features Junior Ntr, Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep, Mukesh Rushi, Pradeep Rawat, Ashish Vidyarthi, Brahmanandam, M.S. Narayana and Nassar.

Bandla Ganesh has produced the film, which has music by S.S. Thaman.

Bollywood Hungama has learnt that Sanjay has acquired the rights of the Telugu hit film Dhee which starred Vishnu Vardhan Babu and Genelia D'Souza in the lead. Confirming this development, producer Vinay Choksey says, "Yes it is correct we have bought the rights of the south Indian film Dhee and have signed Indra Kumar to direct the project. Sanjay Dutt will feature in the film; however the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. This will happen only after we finish the script and lock the final draft." The film in question is said to be a rom-com with a little bit of action thrown in with Sanju in the lead alongwith two more lead male actors and a female lead. The film is scheduled to go on floor early next year.
