Years ago, when I was just a wee little blogger with lofty ambitions of writing for a living, I was given the opportunity to review a film called “Take Out”, a low budget indie feature from “Bryan Loves You” director Seth Landau. It was a thoroughly enjoyable effort that, for whatever reason, failed to click with potential distributors. For a while, it appeared the movie was destined to languish in obscurity, which is a damn shame. Thankfully, Landau and company have posted the film online for all to enjoy. However, it’s not going to last forever, so make sure you schedule a screening for sometime in the near future. I don’t want anyone to regret not checking it out when they had the chance. Because we’ll laugh at you. For real. Check out the official synopsis from IMDb: A guy eliminates chain restaurants. And there you have it.

One of the first features I tackled during my tenure as an Internet movie blogger-type person was “Bryan Loves You” director Seth Landau’s 2005 comedy “Take Out”, a feature about a journalist’s quest to expose the deep-fried underbelly of the fast food industry. Given that there are dozens of documentaries about the inherent evil of these value meal villains, it’s deeply surprising that the film has yet to find a distributor. In order to help get the word out about this criminally ignored feature, Landau has released the first ten minutes of the film into the public forum. If you haven’t seen the flick, this is currently the best way to discover it, as “Take Out” has yet to find its way into the hands of those who would enjoy it most. Someone release this thing, already! What the hell! “Take Out” stars Justin Walker from “Clueless...

Anchor Bay Entertainment and the producers of the film are giving away a really cool mask from the horror film “Bryan Loves You” by director Seth Landau and starring Tony Todd (Candyman), Tiffany Shepis (Live Evil), Brinke Stevens, Chuck Williams, Jeff Dylan Graham, Daniel Roebuck (Halloween II) and the infamous Lloyd Kaufman. The horror film “Bryan Loves You” is a true 1993 story of a cult that takes over an Arizona town. To win all you have to do is comment on the YouTube video. Stay tuned to Shockya.com for the latest movie news and more from “Bryan Loves You” and Anchor Bay Entertainment. Special thanks goes out to Andy [...]...

Early last year, I was privileged to investigate a snazzy little horror film called “Bryan Loves You,” directed by “Take Out” director Seth Landau. It remains one of the most widely ignored genre outings of 2008, despite appearing on several “Best Of” lists and receiving countless critical acclaim. Why everyone continues to sleep on this eerie little number is truly beyond my realm of comprehension. Maybe it has something to do with the tiny particles often found floating in public water supplies. I’m really not sure. I was recently contacted by Mr. Landau, who wanted me to spread the good word about the contest he’s currently running. According to Seth, all you have to do to snag one of these incredibly creepy masks — which are, coincidentally, identical to the ones in the film — is to comment on his YouTube video, which can be found lurking around here. A winner...

For November Son (available on DVD April 14), the sequel to the gay thriller October Moon, writer/director Jason Paul Collum worked with both ends of the genre spectrum, the seasoned vet (Brinke Stevens) and the first-film newbie (Sacha Sacket).
Stevens, who reprises the role of “Nancy” in November Son, has over 100 acting credits. If you are a fan of the genre, you know Stevens even if you’ve never seen one of her films. By all accounts one of the nicest and most accommodating actresses to work with, Stevens weathered the “Girl in the Shower” storm of her early films and has come out the other side with nuanced performances in films like Mommy and October Moon. At an age when most B-movie queens fade into real estate careers, Stevens keeps racking up the roles, and she doesn’t have to take off her top to do it.

UPDATE:BLY director Seth Landau got us up to speed on the revised guest list for the Dark Delicacies signing. Dan Roebuck is out, but in his place comes Jeff Dylan Graham. Jeff has appeared in a number of horror pictures, aside from BLY, including, 100 Tears and Beyond the Dunwich Horror.
In another interesting turn of events, Seth informed us that some actual cult members from the real life Bryan Loves You incident will be on-hand to "monitor" the happenings. This is to guarantee that the cast and crew can go about their business unharmed. Weird, eh?
Bryan Loves You may be based on true events from the early '90s, but the stuff that went on to get this film made is just a bit more odd. Who knew that a film about some dark cult activities in Phoenix could lead to fake casting calls, threatening videos and theft of footage?...

We've been following the little film that could Bryan Loves You for a while now on the site (read our review of it here), and in light of the film recently locking its domestic distribution (Anchor Bay baby), we decided to hunt down its director Seth Landau, gag and bind him and force him to yap Bryan Loves You "then and now" with us. Here's how it went down! What was the trigger that prompted you to put fingers to keyboard and write the Bryan Loves You...
