The Tool

This is a totally sick and disgusting one joke short film and I liked it very much!! It's all about a guy who got a huge screwdriver driven through his head yet he seems to be okay--that is except that the tool is still protruding from his skull (yuck). It's all played very seriously and is a cute tongue in cheek sort of film, though I am sure that many will be put off by either how strange it all is or just the nastiness of seeing what looks like a real screwdriver sticking completely through the main character's head!!! However, it really worked for me due to the very clever writing, acting and direction. That's because if they'd made the film too slapstick-like, it would have been dumb and they also didn't go overboard on the gore factor--just playing like the man has just another disability!! Cute, clever and very strange--this is one worth seeing.
