So many good elements, a cracking episode.

A very dark episode, with plenty of torture and malevolence. The second episode is a great continuation, with plenty going on, some wonderful villainery and of course the excellent location work.

I much prefer the classic Sontarans to those from New Who, which somehow look wrong. Though once again, it's Jacqueline Pearce that steals the show, Chessene is a great villain, so well acted.

The performances in general are great, Troughton is a joy to watch as always. Laurence Payne excellent also, such a classy actor, who gave real gravitas to the character of Dastari.

I like the story, I love the idea of a group of scientists trying to get the ideas for time travel. The whole reason for Chessene's being, it's clever.

The Spanish setting adds a degree of quality to the episodes, the sunlight, sounds of nature give it a different feel, effects that simply cannot be generated in a studio bound episode.

Oscar and Anita are interesting characters, perhaps he's not to be taken too seriously, but he's fun.
